An employee of the Schlotzskys Sandwich Shop, located at 4218 South Alameda Street, called Corpus Christi Police after they arrived at work and found the business had been burglarized.
The employee told Officers that entry was made into the business through the ceiling by removing roof paneling.
Once inside, the suspect ransacked the office and removed money from the safe.
It was estimated that more than $20,000 in damage was done to the business.
At this time, no suspects have been identified or arrested.

A father was arrested by Corpus Christi Police after he assaulted his 24 year old son with a baseball bat inside their home in the 6100 block of Boca Raton Drive.
The victim, and the grandfather of the victim, told Officers that the father, Edward L. Shortell (02/19/1959), came home intoxicated and he began to argue with his son about a bag that was missing from the fathers room.
The disturbance turned physical when the father grabbed an aluminum baseball bat and hit his son several times in the lower back and left knee. The son was able to gain control of the bat and this prevented any serious injuries.
The father was arrested for aggravated assault.
The son was treated on the scene by CCFD EMS.

A suspect armed with a knife walked into the Town Market, located at 514 Old Robstown Road, and robbed the business.
A 61 year old female store clerk told Officers that a Hispanic male wearing a black mask, and a black and grey striped long sleeve t-shirt came into the store with a knife and demanded money. The clerk was so terrified that she ran out of the store. She was not injured.
The suspect attempted to open both cash registers in the store himself. He was unable to get either one open.
The suspect then fled on foot toward the 3500 block of Colonial Court. It is unclear if he took anything from the store.
Officers are attempting to work with the owner to download video surveillance from the camera system inside the store.
At this time, no suspects have been identified or arrested in connection with this crime.
