Several neighbors called Corpus Christi Police after a couple caught a man breaking into their vehicle.
When Officers arrived, they found a man holding down another man in the front yard of a home in the 1700 block of Bernandino Street. The 40 year old man told Officers he was inside his home when he saw a man riding in the street on a bicycle. He then saw the man go into his parked 2013 Buick sedan.
The man and his wife came out of their home and were able to hold the suspect down until the police arrived. Officers arrested the suspect, Timothy Naranjo (01/24/1981), for burglary

Corpus Christi Police responded to 3602 Panama Drive, near Kostoryz Elementary, for a large fight.
When police arrived a 15 year old female ran toward the Officers crying and holding a bloody nose. Her mother, Christina McGee (02/15/1971), then came up and tried to force the young girl back into the fight. The mother told Officers that she had brought her daughter to the school to fight other girls who had been posting things about her daughter on social media sites.
The young girl had severe bruising to her forehead, a cut to her lip and a possible broken nose.
The young girl told Officers she was jumped by several juvenile females who had punched and kicked her. While this was happening, her mother was yelling at her to get up and fight and was holding her daughter’s hair.
The girl was taken to Driscoll Children`s Hospital by CCFD EMS due to her injuries.
The mother was arrested for reckless endangerment. This case has also been turned over to the Child Protective Services.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

Corpus Christi Police were called after a suspected drunk driver struck two parked cars and a mail box while traveling down the 3100 block of Dante Drive.
Officers arrived to find that the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet truck was traveling east on Dante Drive when it struck a parked 1997 Toyota Four Runner. The truck continued on down the street and struck another parked car, a 2009 Chevrolet sedan. As the truck continued, it struck a mailbox in front of 3121 Dante Drive, causing an estimated $250 in damage.
Officers were able to stop the truck and after an investigation they determined the driver, Michael Roland Gonzales (02/01/1980), was intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and his truck was impounded.

Corpus Christi Police were called after a man was observed passed out in his vehicle with his child in the back seat.
Officers arrived in the 3100 block of Ruth Street and found the driver of a 2004 Ford Taurus sedan passed out in the driver seat. In the back seat was his 4 year old son in a car seat.
After an investigation it was determined that the driver, Israel Maldonado (11/15/1988), was intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, a felony offense, and his son was released to other family members.
