Patrol Report 10/26/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 838 calls for service and generated 158 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. October 25 to 7:00 a.m. on October 26, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Location: 4100 Interstate Highway 69
Offense: Burglary
P.C. 30.02     State Jail Felony
Case Number: 1510260018
Corpus Christi Police responded to a burglar alarm at a business, located at 4147 Interstate 69.

When Officers arrived, and went to the rear of the business, they found two suspects leaving with what appeared to be stolen property. Both suspects attempted to flee on foot, and Officers were only able to catch up with one.

Officers arrested the suspect who attempted to flee, Henry Perez (12/27/1977), for burglary. The other suspect was not located.

Officers were able to return the stolen property to the business owner.

The owner estimated that there was $500 in damage done to her back door by the suspects to gain entry.

Officers are working to identify the second suspect involved in this crime.

Location: 1500 Wynwood Drive
Offense: Aggravated Robbery

Corpus Christi Police were dispatched to a home located in the 1500 block of Wynwood Drive after two men in their mid-twenties were robbed of their wallets by a group of men as they arrived home.

As Officers were responding to the home, the two victims began to chase the robbery suspects, who had left in a white Nissan Altima, in their own Toyota Corolla. Both vehicles sped west on Gollihar Road and the robbery suspects began to shoot at the victims with a handgun. The victim’s car was struck in the passenger side windshield with one of the shots fired.

Both vehicles continued to chase each other with the victims updating police on their location. An Officer was able to catch up to the vehicles in the 5200 block of Tolman Street. Four suspects fled on foot through the yards and one suspect, Roberto Perez (11/17/1989), was taken into custody by Officers immediately.

Two more suspects, Randyl Villegas (09/02/1992) and Jesse Garcia (11/18/1995), were both caught a short distance away. All three were arrested for aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

Officers believe there were two more suspects in the Nissan that were not located. They are working to identify those individuals.

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

Case Number: 1510250101
A 58 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after her vehicle was stolen while she was inside her home located in the 4700 block of North Shea Parkway.

The female victim told Officers that her son brought his girlfriend over to meet her. A short time later, the victim went into her home and when she came back outside, the girlfriend was speeding off in the victim’s 1994 Volvo sedan.

The victim’s son tried texting the female to get her to bring the car back, but when she didn’t, the victim called police.

Just before 3 AM, Officers located the female suspect and the stolen vehicle in the 1000 block of Sam Rankin Street.  Officers were able to arrest the female suspect, Halie Paige Johnson (12/07/1995, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and the car was recovered.
