The quick actions of two citizens may have saved the life of a 60 year old female after her car rolled into the water after a crash in the 4700 block of State Highway 181 north access road.
Corpus Christi Police responded to North Beach for the report that a vehicle had rolled off the roadway flipped several times and landed upside down in water.
When Officers arrived they determined that the female driver, of the 2011 Nissan Versa sedan, had been removed by two men who stopped to help. One of the men was driving behind the female and he saw her car lose control and go into the water flipping several times. He and a man, that was fishing along the shore, ran into the water to help. They held the woman’s head out of the water while freeing her from the wreckage and then moved her to the shore.
The female driver was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS for minor injuries sustained in the crash.
She told Officers that she lost control of her car after hitting a bump in the road.

Store employees from the JC Penny Store, located at La Palmera Mall, called Corpus Christi Police after they saw a female put several items in her shopping bag and under her clothes and then walk out without paying for the merchandise.
Officers arrived and were told that employees saw the female, Erica Lucio (11/02/1983), putting several clothing items into her black shoulder mesh shopping bag. She also was seen filling up her purse with jewelry and a pair of shoes. She then went into a fitting room and put on three pair of pants under her pants. The total amount the female attempted to walk out with was determined to be over $1,237.
The female was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance when Officers found what they believe to be heroin in her purse.
All of the stolen items were returned to the store.

A 34 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after her boyfriend bit her following a disturbance inside their home located in the 600 block of Villa Drive.
The female told Officers she got into a disturbance with the male because she did not like the way he was holding their baby. During the disturbance, the female said her boyfriend bit her in the right arm. The female was not seriously injured.
The boyfriend, Fidel Pulido (05/28/1983), was arrested for the assault. It was also determined that he had 18 active municipal court warrants out for his arrest.
