Patrol Report 10/30/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 937 calls for service and generated 207 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. October 29 to 7:00 a.m. on October 30, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

A female was arrested by Corpus Christi Police at the apartment she shared with her fiancé, located at 6048 Ocean Drive, after she pointed a gun at him.

Officers arrived and spoke to the 55 year old male victim who told them that he was arguing with the female about her leaving the apartment. During the disturbance, his fiancé pointed a .38 caliber revolver at him. The man was able to wrestle the gun away from her and called police.

Officers arrived and arrested the female, Jennifer Valadez (01/13/1987), for aggravated assault.

The male was not injured.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a report of several gunshots being fired at an apartment complex located at 3942 Holly Road.

When Officers arrived they found that a family, who had just moved in, were all in their truck waiting for traffic to clear on Holly Road so they could exit the parking lot. While they waited, they heard several guns shots and then the rear window of their 2007 Chevrolet truck shattered.

None of the four people in the in the truck were injured, however a round barely missed hitting a three year old male sitting in the back seat. The bullet struck the child’s car safety seat and shattered plastic from the seat. A piece of plastic hit the little boy in the face causing a small scratch to his left cheek.

Two other rounds struck the tailgate of the truck.

Several witness told Officers that they saw a grey or silver four door vehicle leave the area with two black males inside.

At this time, Officers have not identified any suspects in this crime, and they are still trying to determine how many rounds were fired.

A business owner called Corpus Christi Police after he arrived at work and found the front glass door had been shattered.

Once Officers arrived, they went inside and found the cash register had been pried open.

It is unknown at this time if any other property was stolen from the business. The owner estimated that over $600 in damage was done to the front door and the register.

At this time Officers are still investigating this crime.
