Patrol Report 11/19/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 913 calls for service and generated 186 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. November 18 to 7:00 a.m. on November 19, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Case Number: 1511180141
Corpus Christi Police responded to a drive by shooting at an apartment, located in the 2200 block of Carolyn Drive.

When Officers arrived they found that an apartment had been struck by two bullets in a rear bedroom wall.  The two bullets penetrated the apartment wall and were both lodged near a closet in the bedroom.   A parked 2001 Ford Expedition SUV had also been struck once shattering a passenger side front window.

It is unknown how many shots were fired at the apartment, but none of the four people inside were injured.

Witnesses told Officers that the shots were fired from a silver sedan that was seen passing by on the street at the time of the shooting.

At this time no suspects have been identified.

Case Number: 1511190015
A 40 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after she was stabbed by a man she did not know while at a friend’s home in the 1500 block of Comanche Street.

The female victim told Officers that she was involved in an argument with a man inside the home and he punched her in the face.  She said that she then hit the man knocking him down.  When the man got up, he had a knife and he cut her on the left side of her face.  The female was able to walk across the street to a neighbor’s house and call police.

By the time police arrived, both the suspect and the man who lived in the apartment had left.

The suspect was described as being a Hispanic male, approximately 19 years old with a moustache.

The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

A 30 year old man is in serious but stable condition at Spohn Memorial Hospital after he was stabbed in the abdomen after an altercation with another man in the parking lot of a restaurant located in the 14500 block of Northwest Boulevard.

Corpus Christi Police were originally called to Northwest Regional Hospital by nurses after the victim drove himself to the emergency room and walked in for treatment.

The victim was able to tell Officers that he was driving east on Northwest Boulevard after returning from a friend’s home in the Blunter area.   He said a man in a truck began yelling for him to pull over.

The victim pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant and the male suspect got out of his truck and started yelling at him that he had cut off his wife in traffic.  The suspect then attacked him with a knife, stabbing him in the stomach at least one time.  The victim said he was able to drive himself to the hospital, but then collapsed once walking into the emergency room.

The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital and at last report was stable and recovering from having surgery.

The only description the victim could provide Officers with was that the suspect was in a black Chevrolet Colorado truck.

A 25 year old man faces intoxicated assault chargers after he rolled his car on the Crosstown Freeway seriously injuring his female passenger.

The crash investigation revealed that the man was driving his 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt north on the freeway near Gollihar Road.  The driver lost control and hit the middle cement barricade causing his car to roll over.

His 27 year old female passenger suffered a possible broken hip and was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS.

After an investigation, the driver was determined to be intoxicated. He also suffered injuries as a result of the crash and was being treated at Spohn Memorial Hospital.

Case Number: 1511190008
People living in the 800 block of Craig Street called Corpus Christi Police after they heard several shots being fired in their neighborhood.

Officers arrived and found a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, parked in the driveway of a home on Craig Street, and it had two bullet holes near the rear of the vehicle. One bullet had grazed the license plate holder and the second one was near the spare tire.

None of the neighbors could provide Officers with a description of the suspects involved.
