Patrol Report 11/30/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 638 calls for service and generated 178 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. November 29 to 7:00 a.m. on November 30, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Offense: Burglary

Case Number: 1511300017
A boyfriend and girlfriend were arrested by Corpus Christi Police after the two were caught breaking into a vehicle in the 1000 block of Miramar Place.

Officers arrived and were given a description of the two by witnesses who saw the suspects enter a 2006 GMC Envoy and remove property from inside.

Francis Reza (08/27/1998) and Raul Medrano (04/29/1993) were both arrested for burglary.

The stolen property was returned to the owner.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer arrested a man after he witnessed two vehicles racing each other in the 3100 block of Ocean Drive.

The Officer was only able to stop one of the vehicles.  He found George Lang (11/22/1996) driving the 2005 Honda Civic.  He was arrested for racing, a class B misdemeanor.

The car he was racing was not located.

Several people in the area of a home, located in the 200 Vera Cruz Street, called Corpus Christi Police after they saw a man with a gun firing several shots into the air.

Officers arrived and they also heard another shot fired and they saw that the man firing the rounds was wearing body armor.The male that had been firing the gun saw Officers and immediately ran back inside his home.

During the investigation, Officers determined that the man firing the weapon had got into a disturbance with his next door neighbors. He went inside his home and come back out wearing body armor and firing a .45 caliber handgun.

Officers talked the suspect who had fired the gun Abel Avalos (04/07/1985) out of the home and he was arrested for deadly conduct.

Another male in the home, Juan Ernesto Galvan (03/02/1986), was arrested for interfering with a police investigation, a Class B misdemeanor.

A man driving a vehicle and fleeing the scene of a crash was arrested by Corpus Christi Police after he was determined to be intoxicated.

The hit and run suspect had struck another vehicle from behind at the turn around under State Highway 358 at South Staples Street.  After the crash, the driver of the 2008 Dodge Ram truck fled the scene.  He was followed by a witness who called police.  Officers were able to catch up to the suspect in the parking lot of a convenience store located at Nile Drive and S.P.I.D.

After an investigation, Officers determined that the hit and run driver, Naithan Hackett (09/29/1990) was intoxicated and he was arrested. Officers obtained a search warrant from a judge to get a sample of the driver’s blood.  When they arrived at Spohn Shoreline Hospital to execute the search warrant, the suspect began to resist.

While the emergency room nurse was performing the blood draw, the suspect pulled the syringe out of his arm and stuck the female nurse in the arm with the needle.

The suspect was charged with assault on a public servant, a third degree felony as well as driving while intoxicated.
