Case Number: 1512220136
Corpus Christi Police arrested a mother of three after they found the women passed out from smoking synthetic cannabis inside her apartment and her children home.

Officers went to the apartment to investigate a call about someone throwing rocks at an apartment located at 2022 Treyway Lane.  When Officers knocked on the door of the apartment, it was answered by an 8 year old boy who was crying.  He told them that his mother was passed out on the couch and would not wake up.

When Officers went inside they could smell an odor of synthetic cannabis and they saw the substance on the kitchen table and on the counter next to the stove.  Also found inside the apartment were a 6 year old female and a 1 year old male.  They did not appear to be injured.

Officers were able to wake the mother, Iris Arlene Perez (09/10/1992), and she was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, a Class B misdemeanor. She was additionally charged with endangering a child since the kids could have easily reached the substances that were in the kitchen while she was passed out.

Child Protective Services responded to the apartment and have also begun an investigation into this case.

The three children were released to a family member across town.

Location: 6400 Weber Road
Offense: Aggravated Assault

Case Number: 1512220144
A female was arrested by Corpus Christ Police after an Officer witnessed her try to run over two men in the parking lot of the Times Market located at 6410 Weber Road.

Officers had originally been dispatched to the store for a fight between four people. As an Officer was pulling into the parking lot, he saw a 2014 Nissan Sentra drive through the parking lot at a high rate of speed. He saw the car swerve in the direction of two black males who were walking away from the store and intentionally try to strike them with the vehicle.

The vehicle then circled around and tried to exit the parking lot. The Officer stopped the car and found the driver, Lisa Colunga (01/04/1973) and her 45 year old male passenger inside.

After an investigation, Officers determined that the male and female in the car, had a verbal altercation with two black males while the four were inside the store and the four began to fight. Once the fight stopped the two black males were walking away when the female got into her car and attempted to run them over.

No one was injured during the disturbance, but Officers did arrest the female driver for aggravated assault.
