A 48 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after another man threatened to stab him after he refused to give him a cigar.
The two men were in the parking lot of a motel, located at 3640 Leopard Street, when a friend of the victims asked him for a cigar. The victim said he did not have one, and the suspect got mad. He pushed the victim in the chest, then pulled put a pocket knife and then threatened to stab him.
The suspect chased the victim around d the parking lot, until the victim was able to run to the Pizza Hut and call police.
Officers located the suspect, Jose Torres (08/08/1976), in the parking lot of the motel and arrested him for aggravated assault.

A man was arrested by Corpus Christi Police after he crashed his car into the cement median just north of the Harbor Bridge.
Officers arrived and determined that the driver of a 2015 Toyota sedan was traveling south in the 3800 block of State Highway 181 when the driver lost control of his vehicle and struck the highway retaining wall.
After an investigation, the driver, Russell Vanden (05/02/1985), was determined to be intoxicated and he was taken into custody. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor and his car was impounded

Three people were arrested by Corpus Christi Police after they stole merchandise from two different businesses located in Moore Plaza.
Officers were originally dispatched to the Academy Store, located at 5400 South Padre Island Drive, after two females and a male went into the store and stole $352 worth of property. They were able to leave prior to police arrival.
While Officers were investigating this call, they were informed that three people were being detained by store employees for a theft at the Target Store just down the street. Officers arrived and determined that after the three left Academy, they went into Target and attempted to leave the store without paying for $288 worth of merchandise.
Officers arrested Christopher Perez (07/13/1992), Patricia Perez (08/17/1959), and Liana Hernandez (03/04/1977), all from Beeville, Texas for theft.
