Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify a man who is suspected of an attempted burglary while the residents were home on June 22, 2016.

A 51-year-old man reported an attempted burglary at his home on the 3700 block of Mendenhall Drive on June 22, 2016 to the Corpus Christi Police. The 51-year-old man told Officers that an unknown man attempted to enter his residence without permission. The 51-year-old man told Officers that he and a 51-year-old woman were at home when they were alerted by a noise from the front door. The 51-year-old man told Officers that they had just gotten a new camera system which is located near the front door frame and now have a number-button combination lock on their front door. The 51-year-old man told Officers that he looked through his phone to look at the camera feed back and saw a live feed of the man at the front door, pressing buttons on the key pad. The 51-year-old man told Officers he spoke to the strange man through the new security system and once he began to speak to him, the unknown man went away from the house. The 51-year-old man described the unknown man to Officers as an adult male who was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and wore a black hat with the letters “RVCA” written on the hat, a maroon shirt and shorts with facial brown hair.

The 51-year-old man told Officers he believes that this unknown man might be the person who had broken into their residence a few weeks before in reference to case #1606080111.
