A female was arrested by Corpus Christi Police after she made threats to stab her 20 year old son inside the home they share in the 2900 block of Sonora Street.
Officers were told by the son that he and his mother had got into an argument after his mother took his prescription medication. He said that when his mother came out of a bathroom, she attempted to stab him with a knife but he was able to hit her and knock the knife out of her hand.
The man was not injured.
Officers did recover the kitchen knife that they believe was used during the assault.
The mother, Doris Casares (07/02/1967), was arrested for aggravated assault.

Corpus Christi Police believe an intoxicated female driver crashed her vehicle into an electric pole while she was driving in the 14100 block of Whitecap Boulevard.
The crash investigation determined that the female driver was traveling north on Whitecap Boulevard when she lost control of her 2000 Subaru Forester and struck an electric pole.
The 50 year old female driver was trapped in the vehicle for a short time, before being rescued by the fire department. She was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS.
After an investigation, Officers do believe alcohol was a factor in this crash.
Due to the driver’s injuries, suffered as a result of the crash, she was not arrested.
