Case Number: 1608230146
A female driver was arrested by Corpus Christi Police after she crashed her SUV into another vehicle, then attempted to leave the scene of the accident and then threatened the other driver with a gun.

Officers responded to the crash and determined that the female driver was attempting to turn from Brewton Drive onto Weber Road when she made a wide turn and struck a 2012 Honda Ridgeline driven by a 48-year-old man.  The man was not injured.

When the female tried to drive away following the crash, the male driver of the Honda approached her and he asked the female to give him the keys to her car until the police arrived in an effort to try and prevent her from leaving the scene.

The female did give the man her keys, but then she followed him back to his vehicle armed with a handgun and made threats to him.  Officers arrived in time to arrest the driver, Daniella Silvas (12/18/1977).

After an investigation, Officers determined that the female was intoxicated.  They also located the loaded handgun that they believe she used to threaten the man on the passenger seat of her SUV.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated assault.
