Corpus Christi Police responded to a disturbance and talked to a man for two hours before he came out of a downtown hotel room this morning.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a call about a disturbance in a downtown hotel room at 10:15am Friday morning and found a woman locked out of that room on the balcony and unable to leave. The Corpus Christi Fire Department used a ladder apparatus to allow Officers to bring the woman to safety. The woman was not injured. Once the woman was safely on the ground floor, the man remained in the hotel room alone and the on duty SWAT members set up and the Hostage Negotiation Team established a dialog with the man. There were no threats to the public and the man finally opened the door and met with Officers at 12:20pm. Officers found no unlawful circumstance in this event. The man was released with no criminal charges.
