With Senate Bill 224 now in effect in Texas, combatting catalytic converter theft has become much more advantageous for law enforcement; but there is still plenty you can do to prevent becoming a victim of this crime.

1. Park inside of your garage if you are able

2. Install a security shield or piece of sheet metal onto your catalytic converter housing

3. Engrave your VIN onto your catalytic converter
