2900 SPID OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING UPDATE

As a follow-up to last night’s officer involved shooting, the following information has been made available for release.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division have diligently continued the investigation into last night’s officer involved shooting and identified the male suspect as 37-year-old Jesse Rose.

This morning, Detectives obtained a felony warrant for Rose for Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant, bond amount $150,000.

This afternoon, Marshals with the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force assisted the Corpus Christi Police Department and located Rose on the 4500 block of Dolphin Place, where they placed Rose into custody. Rose sustained injuries during the initial contact at the 2900 block of SPID and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Once he was medically cleared for jail, Rose was transported to the City Detention Center for booking.
