Ryan Bora was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, and moved to Corpus Christi in 2021 after being hired to work as a Crime Analyst for the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Before becoming a Crime Analyst, Ryan obtained two bachelor’s degrees in criminology and psychology from Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) in New Britain, Connecticut. Ryan also has two certificates: one in Geographic Information Systems, obtained from CCSU and the other in Crime and intelligence Analysis, obtained from California State University – Fullerton. Ryan was also an intern at the Providence Emergency Management Agency in Providence, Rhode Island, as well as the Internet Crime Against Children Task Force with the Rhode Island State Police in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Since joining the Corpus Christi Police Department two-and-a-half-years ago, Ryan has spent his career with the Uniform Division as one of our Crime Analyst. His responsibilities include analyzing crime trends and calls for service to maximize efficient use of patrol resources. Ryan also provides crucial information to patrol officers in a timely manner to help them be more proactive and keep the community safe.
