UPDATE: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON A PEACE OFFICER AT THE 4700 BLOCK OF LANSDOWN DRIVE: SUSPECT IDENTIFIED

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 10:12pm, Corpus Christi Police Officers were attempting to serve a warrant on an adult male for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at a residence on the 4700 block of Lansdown Drive. 

As officers were standing at the door, a single shot was fired from inside the residence towards the officers. One officer sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene by CCFD Medics. Officers at the scene immediately called for more assistance, and created distance from the residence until more officers and resources could arrive.

As more officers arrived, officers created a perimeter and utilized drones. Officers with the Hostage Negotiation Team attempted to call out the male who they were attempting to serve the warrant.  After those attempts were unsuccessful, SWAT Operators utilized indoor drones and robots to clear the residence. After a thorough search, the male was not located inside the residence. A continued officer presence will be maintained at the residence as officers secure and serve a search warrant. 


Corpus Christi Police Officers did not return fire.

The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating and have identified the suspect as 34-year-old Juliano Carrillo, date of birth 04/01/1990.  The Criminal Investigations Division is pursuing aggravated assault on a peace officer charges on Carrillo. At this time, this is an isolated incident, and we do not believe there to be a threat to public safety. Carrillo is still outstanding on the original warrant of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Carillo is described as a Hispanic male, stands at 5’6″, weighs approximately 200 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.

As per CCPD policy, the officer has been placed on administrative leave during this investigation.
