CRACKDOWN ON RECKLESS DRIVING AND RACING CONTINUES

VCU Officers continue to crackdown on reckless and racing drivers on Corpus Christi roadways.  

On Saturday at around 8:45pm, 21-year-old Vianney De La Fuente was observed recklessly driving over 105mph on the 4300 block of Hwy 358 eastbound. She was arrested for reckless driving and her vehicle was impounded.

On Saturday at around 10:23pm, 38-year-old Jose Medina and 37-year-old Alexander Gonzalez were observed racing their vehicles, both traveling over 95mph, on the 4500 block of Hwy 358 westbound. Medina was arrested for racing on highway and his vehicle was impounded. Gonzalez was arrested for racing and unlawful carrying of a weapon and his vehicle was impounded.

On Sunday at around 1am, 20-year-old Damion Garrity and 19-year-old Christopher Pena were observed racing their vehicles, both traveling over 100mps, on the 4700 block of Hwy 358 westbound. Both were arrested for racing on highway and their vehicles were impounded.

On Sunday at around 2:20am, 22-year-old Matthew Rodriguez and 23-year-old Fabian Estrada were observed racing their vehicles on the 4900 block of Ayers Street and into the residential neighborhood. Rodriguez was arrested for racing on highway and his vehicle was impounded. Estrada was arrested for racing and unlawful carrying of a weapon and his vehicle was impounded.
