On Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 7:18am, Corpus Christ Police Department Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Kinsolving Court in reference to a stabbing.

Officers arrived and located a 48-year-old female deceased from an apparent stabbing.

Homicide Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division arrived on scene and began their investigation. On Friday, May 23, 2025, detectives secured a capital murder warrant for 37-year-old Quentin Brown, bond $1,000,000. Detectives served the warrant to the Nueces County Jail where Brown has been held on unrelated charges.

This is not a random act of violence as Brown and the victim were known to each other.
