Corpus Christi Police Detectives want your help to identify a pair who committed a Robbery at the JCPenney retail store.
The pair worked together in an effort to conceal items valued at approximately $200.00 and then bypassed all points of sale without paying for the items.
Once outside of the store, Loss Prevention Employees attempted to make contact with the pair in an effort to retrieve the stolen merchandise. Loss Prevention Employees advised that the female suspect hit one of the employees on the arm and then the male suspect pushed the same employee against the wall and threatened to assault him.
The employees observed the suspects drive away in a Blue Kia Rio (California LP – 4RZP614).

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a man who Detectives believe was involved in a Burglary of a Barber School.
The owner of the Barber Shop detailed that an unknown man forcefully entered their business and stole a flat screen TV, Computer and Zip-Drive totaling over $3,000, without the owners consent.
Detectives gathered images of the man from surveillance video.
The suspect is described as an adult male, early to mid 20’s, wearing a white t-shirt, long shorts, black socks and white tennis shoes. The suspect was observed to have tattoos on both forearms.
The male suspect has not been apprehended and Detectives want your help to identify him. Offense: Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon

On July 21, 2017 Officers responded to the 1400 block of Devon, reference a shots fired call, which was upgraded to a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, Officers located a 47-year-old male with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries and remains hospitalized today.
On July 22, 2017 at approximately 8:05 p.m. Officers effected a traffic stop near the intersection of 19th Street and Mussett Street, which resulted in an arrest of Guzman, Jonathan (08/02/1986). Guzman was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Possession of Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2-A and Possession/Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia. Through ballistic testing, it was discovered that the weapon being possessed by Guzman during the traffic stop was the same weapon used in the shooting on Devon.
A warrant was subsequently issued for Jonathan Guzman for the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Guzman remains in the Nueces County Jail and is being held on a $250,000 bond.

On July 19, 2017 Corpus Christi Police Officers arrested Jaime Sandoval (11/14/1953) on an outstanding warrant for one count of Sexual Assault.
Sandoval was transported to the City Detention Center for processing and was later transferred to the Nueces County Jail.
Additional charges may be filed at a later date.

UPDATE: Briggs Lawhon was captured by DPS Officers on 07/13/17 in Angleton, Texas.
Briggs Clinton Lawhon is a wanted fugitive and may possibly be in the Corpus Christi area according to recent tips. See the attached bulletin from Texas Crime Stoppers.
We can confirm that the 11-year-old female has been found safe and unharmed. Through the investigation it has been determined that the vehicle of interest initially put out was not involved in the commission of a crime. On June 22, 2017 at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force received a request for assistance from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in locating a wanted fugitive. At approximately 12:20 p.m. the task force received information that the fugitive in question, Emmanuel Grear 05/04/1997, was at an apartment complex in the 5700 block of Curtis Clark with a friend, Jeremy DelosSantos 07/04/1995.
The members of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrived at the location and observed both subjects walking through the complex. When they attempted to make contact, both Grear and DelosSantos evaded on foot. Both Grear and DelosSantos were taken into custody.
Emmanuel Grear was arrested for five outstanding warrants; Aggravated Kidnapping ($100,000 Bond), Aggravated Sexual Assault ($250,000 Bond), Aggravated Robbery ($75,000 Bond) and two Probation Violations for Robbery (No Bond). Jeremy DelosSantos was arrested for Evading Arrest.
Both Offenders were booked into the City Detention Center for processing and have been transferred to the Nueces County Jail.
Corpus Christi Police Officers will be out in force targeting drunk drivers from June 24-July 5.

Corpus Christi Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a female who Detectives believe may be involved in an Auto Burglary in the 400 block of Clark
A Corpus Christi Police Officer generated an offense report detailing that two vehicles were burglarized in the early morning hours of May 20, 2017. The victim advised that one of the items stolen was a reloadable credit card, which had funds. The victim received an automatic alert detailing where the card was used. The Officer followed up at the place where the card was used and retrieved surveillance footage of the female using the stolen card, without the owner’s effective consent.
The female has not been apprehended and Detectives want your help to identify this suspect.
