Corpus Christi Police Investigators are seeking assistance from the public to locate two persons of interest in a Homicide that occurred September 09, 2019 on the 1800 block of Sherman. 39-year-old Gloria Rodriguez (also goes by Gina) and 34-year-old Gina Rodriguez, may have information and Investigators are trying to make contact with them.

NUECES COUNTY WANTED SUBJECT

Nueces County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help to locate 32-year-old Andrew Garza who has an outstanding warrant for Probation Violation stemming from an Assault (No Bond).

Garza is described as a 32-year-old white male who stands 5′ 04”, weighs approximately 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

On September 14, 2019, a local new station reported on their evening news that Chief Mike Markle was at a political campaign announcement for an elected official.

This is grossly inaccurate and we want to be clear that not only was that report false but deleterious.

Chief Markle does not engage in political forums, nor does he publicly endorse political candidates.

We have reached out to the local station about this erroneous report and hope that a correction is made.

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to the area of Airport at Iturbide for a shooting victim.

Upon arrival, officers contacted a 31-year-old male who had had been shot. The 31-year-old male was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later succumbed from his injuries.

CITY’S LATEST HOMICIDE

Location: 6200 block of Denain
Incident: Capital Murder, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Case Number: 1909120034

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 6200 block of Denain Drive, in reference to an assault with injuries. Upon arrival, the initial officer contacted a 72-year-old male who advised that persons inside the home were deceased. The 72-year-old male was immediately detained pending the investigation.

The responding officer made entry into the home and immediately located a deceased 47-year-old female. Additional officers responded, at which point they cleared the home in an effort to locate any other potential victims. Officers located an 18-year-old deceased male and additionally located a 21-year-old male who had sustained severe injuries. All victims sustained blunt force trauma.

The 21-year-old male was transported to a local hospital and the scene was secured.

Officers arrested Mohammad Sahi for 1 count of Capital Murder (Capital Felony) and 1 count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1F).

The suspect was transported to the City Detention Center and later transferred to the Nueces County Jail with a bond amount totaling 2.75-million-dollars.

We have received several inquiries about the charge of Capital Murder and there only being one count. A person commits an offense of Capital Murder as defined by Section 19.02 (b)(1) if the person murders more than one person during the same criminal transaction.

OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING – ADDITIONAL INFORMATION RELEASE

As is our practice we are releasing the information of the officer who was involved in the shooting on September 10, 2019.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer has been placed on paid administrative leave. The administrative leave is in accordance with current department practice and policy.

Senior Officer William Hobbs has been a police officer with the Corpus Christi Police Department for 12 years.

HELP US IDENTIFY AGGRAVATED ROBBERY SUSPECTS

Corpus Christi Police Department Investigators need your help identifying suspects believed to be involved in at least one aggravated robbery of a convenience store.

On September 02,2019 Officers were dispatched to a convenience store located near Airline and Alameda for an Aggravated Robbery. While in the commission of the Robbery, one of the males displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspects were able to get away with undisclosed amount of cash.

MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED

On September 1, 2019 at approximately 4:22 am Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 500 N Shoreline, reference suspicious persons in the area. Officers arrived on scene and located a 53-year-old deceased male.

Through their investigation and with the help of tips from the public; Detectives identified a suspect and obtained a Murder Warrant for 18-year-old Victor Padilla. Victor Padilla was arrested on September 04, 2019 by Corpus Christi Police Officers and was later transported to the Nueces County Jail on the Murder Warrant ($500,000 Bond).

IMPROPER RELATIONSHIP WITH STUDENT

The Corpus Christi Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) has initiated an investigation in which 58-year-old male, Marlon Frazier, was soliciting a minor female to engage in sexual activity.

Marlon Frazier has been arrested by the Corpus Christi Police Department and is currently in custody for one count of Improper Relationship between an Educator and Student (2F).

Corpus Christi Detectives are asking for your help to locate 41-year-old Noe Recio (06/17/1978) who has four outstanding felony warrants; FTA-Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon (No Bond), Aggravated Assault Impeding Breath/Circulation (No Bond), Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon ($30,00 Bond), Aggravated Sexual Assault ($50,000 Bond). Recio also has three outstanding misdemeanor warrants with a total of $15,000 bond.

Recio is described as a 41-year-old male, who is 6′ 01″ but is wheel-chair bound, weighs approximately 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
