The City of Corpus Christi will auction 96 cars, trucks, and motorcycles at the Police Vehicle Impound Lot, located at 5485 Greenwood Drive, on Saturday, April 1, 2017. The auction will start at 10:00 a.m.
The general public is encouraged to register and view the vehicles for auction from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, March 31, 2017. The general public can continue to view the vehicles from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on the day of the auction.
The vehicles for auction may be viewed online and an auction list may be downloaded from www.siskauction.com.
At approximately 1 pm today we received notification from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation that a possible sighting of the suspect vehicle Tad Cummins was last seen in, was in our local area. The caller advised they saw a vehicle matching the description, displaying Tennessee tags and was able to provide a partial plate, further specifying that it was seen in the area of the 4500 block of US HWY 181.
As with all Amber Alerts, several tips will be fielded through the call centers and every tip received will be thoroughly investigated.
Officers were dispatched and thoroughly checked the area, surrounding businesses and surveillance videos for any leads. As of this point, we are unable to substantiate any of the information provided and have not received any credible witnesses placing either Elizabeth Thomas or Tad Cummins in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-TBI-FIND. Anyone who sees Cummins, Thomas or the vehicle in their respective area should call 911.
The Corpus Christi Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force will be providing free VIN etching today, Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 15100 Windward Drive.
VIN etching is an anti-theft deterrent to motor vehicle theft that involves etching a vehicle’s VIN onto every window to reduce the value of a stolen vehicle to thieves. The Auto Theft Task Force has also created the attached safety tip brochure.

Law Enforcement Officers are searching for 48-year-old Adrian Hernandez (08/01/68) for charges stemming from an Assault Family Violence/Impeding Breath – No Bond. Hernandez is described as a 48-year-old male who stands 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds, has a receding hairline, brown eyes, and a mustache with a goatee.

Resendez has several tattoos including “In God We Trust” and “Resendez” on his back and several tattoos on his chest.
