PRACTICE PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT TEST TOMORROW

You are invited to attend the Corpus Christi Police Department Practice Physical Assessment Test (PAT) on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 7:30 am for our upcoming CCPD 84th Police Academy projected to begin July 2024. It’s a great way to gauge your strengths and know what you need to work on to move forward in this process.

The practice test will take place at the main police station (321 John Sartain, Corpus Christi, TX 78401). Applicants will meet us at the gated entrance directly across from Whataburger on the Bay (Water St. side of the building). Check in time will be between 7:15 am – 7:30 am, so we can start promptly at 8:00 am.

During the practice test, instructors will explain and demonstrate each phase of the physical fitness test. We will also be available to answer any questions you have about any phase of the testing and hiring process. As a bonus for attending the practice test, applicants who successfully complete the course will receive a PAT waiver that will be valid for up to 30 days. That means you will only need to pass the written examination on your scheduled test date.

Visit the following link to learn more about the three-component fitness test: https://careers.ccpolice.com/ccpd-testing-process. This will give you a better understanding of what you will be measured on.

We are currently taking applications for the 84th session of our police academy. You may submit your eligibility questionnaire online, which you can find at careers.ccpolice.com. Please call 361-886-2626 for more information.

LIVE REPORT TAKING

In an effort to reduce wait times to citizens wishing to make a report for a crime that is not in progress, CCPD will be expanding its Telephone Reporting Unit to include Live Report taking via WebEx. This service will be available Monday – Friday, 7am-10am and 5pm-8pm.

How to take advantage of this:

Call the non-emergency line and select option 1 from the menu.
Request the Live Report Taking option when speaking to a call taker.
Download the WebEx app onto your phone or computer.
Ensure you have a camera and microphone on your phone or computer.
Ensure you leave a valid email address and phone number to be reached at.
The request will be placed into the TRU queue.
The CCPD officer working live reports will send an email link for WebEx for you to use to join a live WebEx chat room.
Join the chat and ensure your camera is on and you have audio.
The officer will discuss your call or concern with you and take appropriate action.
Once the call is complete, the officer will discontinue the meeting and your report will be generated.

This additional resource is being made in an effort to maintain good service and to reduce the response time for in progress calls.
