When officers arrived they were directed by the witness to the front of the hotel parking lot to a white Ford Escape car and they saw a male sitting in the driver’s seat. Officers found Andrew Parker (06/27/1993) removing property including a black 9 MM caliber handgun from the car. The suspect was arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor, and the stolen items were returned to the victim.

A 28 year old female called Corpus Christi Police to report that her 2004 GMC Envoy SUV had been broken into while it was parked in front of a business located at 4440 S. Padre Island Dr. Camera images show a male suspect walk around the building and break the passenger side door window. The suspect then reaches in and takes the victims purse. The suspect was then picked up by a dark colored passenger car, unknown make or model. Offense: Forgery (PC 32.21 Third Degree Felony) Case Number: 1409230088 Corpus Christi Police went to a business located at 10361 S. Padre Island Dr. and picked up two fake $20 bills that were used to make purchases over the past few days. The store manager reported that one of the bills was passed during the day on Friday, the other on Monday. Officers confiscated the counterfeit bills and are reviewing video from the store to see if any suspects can be identified.

OFFENSE: Burglary of a Building (PC 30.02 State Jail Felony)
CASE # 1409170037 Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a burglary of a building located at 5422 Ayers Street, Arnold Oil Company. The owner of the business stated that between 09/16/2014 sometime after 5:00 p.m. and 09/17/2014 before 8:00 a.m., an unknown male suspect smashed out the side glass door to the business and went inside. Once inside the suspect jumped over the counter and then pried open two cash registers but no money was in the registers. The suspect then left the business. Surveillance cameras from the business show a male wearing a mask, a cap and gloves. He appears to be 5’8” to 6’00” tall and between180 and 200 pounds. While no property was taken, there was about $400 in damage done to the door of the business. Offense: Aggravated Assault (PC 22.02 Second Degree Felony) Case Number: 1409220177 A 48 year old male victim called Corpus Christi Police after he was hit in the face with a pipe or bat while walking in the 4100 block of Violet Rd. The victim told officers he was walking south on Violet Rd on the sidewalk toward his house. He said that as he passed a trailer park he noticed a young black male wearing shorts and a baseball cap walking up to him. The suspect told the victim “Don`t walk up on me” and then hit him in the head with an unknown solid weapon. The victim could not tell what he was hit with. The victim suffered a cut above the right eye and was transported to Northwest Regional Hospital by CCFD EMS. No suspect has been arrested in this case.

CASE # 1409090111 Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a burglary of a building located at 1017 Airline Rd. A 57 year old male victim discovered that a storage shed had been broken into and about $295 worth of property was stolen. Camera surveillance shows a male suspect 5’10” to 6’2” tall, wearing blue jeans, an orange shirt and a hat turning off power to the building and then going inside. The suspect vehicle involved is an older model navy blue Ford F-150 truck with a tool box in the bed. Offense: Aggravated Robbery (PC 29.03 First Degree Felony) Case Number: 1409210012 A 34 year old female store employee called Corpus Christi Police after she saw a female sticking stuff in her purse. When the store employee confronted the female she threw out some of the property and started making threats. When the store employee saw more property in her purse, the female started pushing her and threatened to stab her as she was going out of the store with a male. Both the male and the female suspects started threatening the store employee as they exited the store with stolen property. Officers arrived and contacted the female suspect and found she was only 15 years old. She was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center and charged with aggravated robbery. Inside the store officers found $41worth of merchandise that had been thrown about the floors of the store. Another $19 worth of stolen property was recovered from the female’s purse. The male that was with the female was identified as Armando Sanchez (02/22/1997). He was also charged with aggravated robbery for his part, and he was transported to the City Detention Center. A third male, Joshua Broyles (12/09/1992) was found waiting in a vehicle in the back seat for the other two to exit. After an investigation, officers found he was intoxicated, but it was determined that he was not involved in the robbery. He was charged with public intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated (PC 49.04Class B Misdemeanor) Case Number: 1409190001 A 19 year old male called Corpus Christi Police after the vehicle he was driving was struck from behind and the other vehicle fled the scene. The man told officers that he was sitting in his 1998 Ford Taurus at the light at Holly Rd. and Rodd Field Rd. facing east waiting at a red light. He stated that when the light turned green, he was struck from behind by a 2001 Ford F250 truck. After striking the car, the driver of the truck continued traveling east on Holly Rd. not stopping. The male followed the hit and run driver to the 7400 block of Piper Dr. where the driver of the truck exited and he then began to urinate in the roadway and was yelling at the male for following him. Officers arrived and contacted the driver, Alec Martinez (09/07/1992), and upon investigation found him to be intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor, and his truck was impounded.

Offense: Burglary (PC 30.02 Second Degree Felony) Case Number: 1409170128 A 38 year old male called Corpus Christi Police after he found his apartment at 6635 S. Staples St. had been burglarized and several guns were missing. The victim of the burglary said he left his apartment at about 7:30 am and returned to find a rear window in a back bedroom had been broken and was open. The victim said his gun safe was broken into and ten handguns ranging in value from $300 to $1000 were stolen. The victim also reported that five knives were taken, along with over $3500 in cash that was also in the safe.
Date: 09/06/2014 5:30 PM Location: 501 South Padre Island Drive Offense: Theft (PC 31.03 Class B Misdemeanor) Case Number: 1409060167 Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to United Rentals located at 501 S. Padre Island Dr. for a theft. The manager of the business said that two suspects came onto the property and cut off a steel lock and chain on the front gate with a reciprocating saw. A camera on the property caught images of a black sport utility vehicle, possibly a Jeep Wrangler, with two male suspects, drive up and stop along the access road and then walk back to the business. After cutting the lock and chain the suspects then pick up the property and leave with it. The manager believes the suspects stole the chain in order to come back later and steal more equipment. The chain and lock that was stolen was valued at over $200.
