Corpus Christi Police would like help from the public to locate a missing elderly person. Nicholas Pena was reported missing on October 31, 2019. Mr. Pena suffers from Dementia and other medical conditions that require medical assistance.
Mr. Pena was last seen in the area of 4300 Holly Ridge Drive around 6:00 pm this evening when he left in a tan 2014 Chevy Cruze (LP DV50926). Mr. Pena is described as an 93-year-old male, who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, approximately 175 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. Mr. Pena was last seen wearing a plaid long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a grey Jacket.

Bradley Brooks (06/28/1983) was last seen on 08/18/2019 by his girlfriend. His vehicle was towed from the area 200 NAS after being found abandoned for a few days. It was at the end of Stingray Road where people go to fish. He has not been heard from since the 18th. Bradley has a tattoo on his chest shaped as a horse shoe with the saying of “We all fall short of the glory of God” and angel wings tattooed on his right forearm. He also has scars on the back of his head.

Vanessa Pecina 07/03/1983 was last seen on or before August 27, 2019. Venessa was seen getting into a red vehicle at the curve on Queen Dr. It is unknown who was driving the vehicle or where she went. Venessa has multiple tattoos on her arm, shoulder and chest.

Corpus Christi police officers were dispatched to 4000 Redwood in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers observed a 26 year old male that had been shot and was deceased. Officers were told that the suspect and a couple other people arrived at the victims house. The victim came out to the vehicle and got into an argument with the suspect. The argument escalated and the victim was shot. The suspect then fled on foot. While detectives and officers were investigating this crime, the 16 year old male suspect returned to the scene and was taken into custody.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Cleo and Headley street in reference to a shooting with injuries. Officers arrived to a 41 year old female with a gunshot wound to the head lying in the street. The victim was quickly transported to Spohn Shoreline for treatment. Officers learned that there was a disturbance in the street between the victim and a male subject. Other individuals intervened and the disturbance escalated. At some point during the disturbance witnesses heard several shots and observed a 4-door grey vehicle leave the scene at a high rate of speed. The witnesses observed the female victim to be shot and called 911.
Detectives took over the case and were advised on 7-12-2019 that the 41 year old female victim died from her injuries. The detectives followed up on leads and interviewed witnesses and were able to get a warrant issued for 29 year old Larry Ramos. On 7-16-2019 at approximately 6:45 pm officers sat up on the wanted suspect in the area of 1400 Coahuila. Officers saw the suspect leave a residence and were able to take him into custody without incident. Larry Ramos was transported to the main station to be interviewed and then to the City Detention Center.

This morning, the Corpus Christi Police Department along with local wrecker companies conducted a 2 hour operation targeting drivers not moving over for emergency vehicles. In the two hour period officers stopped 30 vehicles for not moving over or slowing down for the wreckers. The officers wrote a total of 36 citations, impounded 1 vehicle and made one arrest for a warrant as a result of the traffic stops.
The law requires that drivers move over and slow down for emergency vehicles. Those vehicles covered under this section are police, fire, wreckers and Texas Dept. of Transportation. Please pay attention while driving and if you see an emergency vehicle, slow down and move over.

Corpus Christi Detectives have made an arrest in the city’s latest homicide. Friday, June 14, Detectives arrested 26 year old Donald Mathews and charged him with murder. Detectives worked tirelessly looking through surveillance video, canvassing the neighborhood and eventually identified a suspect. Detectives contacted Donald and recovered a weapon related to the crime.

On June 12, 2019 at approximately 6:38 am CCPD officers were dispatched to 2000 Leopard Street in reference to an unconscious female bleeding from the head. Officers arrived and contacted the medics who advised the officers that the 54 year old female was deceased. Officers secured the scene, called detectives and it was determined that the death was a homicide. This is an ongoing investigation and detectives are asking for the public’s help.

Ray was last seen wearing a blue Captain America shirt, dark blue shorts and was riding a multicolored scooter. His hair is a little shorter than what is shown in this picture.
