Location: 9400 Morrow
Units were dispatched to the 9400 blk of Morrow for a Stabbing. Upon arriving they located a 59 year old with a stab wound to the chest area. Officers determined that Mistiphone Rainwater (10.23.1971) had stabbed the 59 year old during an argument. She was arrested and taken to the City Detention Center. The 59 year old was transported to Spohn Memorial to be treated.

Brittney Nicole Mason (10/22/92) was arrested and charged with an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on an Assault charge. No Bond was set.
Date: July 9, 2013, 8:56pm Location: 2000 Harriet Event: Evading/Child Endangerment Case Number: 1307090149 Officers investigating a call for service involving a Chevrolet pick-up truck being driven recklessly in the area of 15200 Windward Drive. Callers advised the driver almost struck several vehicles as it drove on the wrong side of the road. Officers attempted to stop the truck, but the driver refused to stop throwing out baggies out the window.
The driver Eliazar Vincent Chapa IV (05/12/94) pulled into his residence at 2113 Harriet Drive and he was taken into custody. Chapa’s 19-year-old girlfriend and their two-year-old son were also in the truck. Both were uninjured and released.
Chapa was arrested and booked at the City Detention Center. He was charged with Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, Abandoning/Endangering a Child~Criminal Negligence, and Tampering with Evidence. The baggies were located and found to contain synthetic marijuana.
A 35-year-old man was arrested Thursday morning for the death of a woman at the 7800 block of Leopard Street.
Corpus Christi Police Officers were called to a mobile home at 7842 Leopard Street at 12:26am Thursday morning. The Police Officers received information that a woman was dead. The Officers found the lifeless body of a woman, believed to be in her middle 40’s in age. The patrol officers detained a 35-year-old man at the scene in connection to the investigation of the woman’s death.
Detectives from the Corpus Christi Police Robbery/ Homicide bureau responded to the scene to gather evidence and information.
Officers then arrested 35-year-old Johnny Flores (12-13-1977) for murder and delivered Flores to the city detention center.
The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of death and the time of death of the woman. Corpus Christi Police Detectives believe no other suspects are involved in this crime.

Police were called to the area for an accident involving a black 2002 Dodge Ram pick-up truck which had lost control. The 44-year-old driver had been traveling at an unsafe speed and lost control of the truck. The truck left the roadway and landed in an empty corn field.
The driver was taken to Spohn Memorial with non-life threatening injuries. He appeared to be intoxicated and a warrant for a blood specimen was taken. He was released at the hospital for further treatment. A 47-year-old passenger was uninjured.

Police pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the Officer’s traffic stop, he observed the driver Benjamin Elizondo (06/25/91) to have marijuana residue on his pants and a couple of ounces inside the vehicle.
Elizondo was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana which is a Class “A” Misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Police contacted the 31-year-old clerk at Ace Mart #1 after receiving complaints of drug dealing. The clerk permitted the Officers to look behind the counter where they found a large bag which contained over 50 bags of synthetic marijuana. The synthetic marijuana was tagged as evidence. The investigation is ongoing and will be conducted by detectives with Narcotics Vice Investigations Division.

A 68-year-old driver of a blue Ford pick-up truck was cited after he made a left turn and struck a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo. No injuries reported. The driver of the truck was cited for Fail to Yield Right of Way ~ Turning Left.

The 30-year-old driver of a maroon Ford pick-up truck told Officers he fell asleep at the wheel and left the roadway. The truck struck a set of crash cushion barrels and coming to stop when it hit a light pole. The driver was treated at the scene by CCFD Emergency Personnel.
TXDOT estimated the damage to the light pole and crash barrels at $9,000. No citation was issued.

Police were called to the home for an assault and arrived to find a 70-year-old woman lying on the floor. She was found to be bleeding from a cut to the back of her head. Further investigation revealed the woman was assaulted while disciplining the child. The grandmother was treated at the scene by CCFD Emergency.
The 11-year-old was placed in police custody and booked at the Nueces County Juvenile Detention Center. She was charged with Injury to an Elderly.

Daniel Garcia (08/11/87) involved in a traffic accident and found to be intoxicated. Garcia’s BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) was over the limit and taken to Spohn Shoreline for medical treatment. Garcia refused treatment and booked at the City Detention Center. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC Over .15

The Officer could see a scale beneath the driver‘s feet. LaMarcus Mason (12/30/93) was additionally found to have a couple of plastic baggies with Marijuana, several alcoholic drinks, and a handgun.
Mason was arrested and charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Defective Equipment~Unsafe Condition.
