Detectives want your help to catch these suspects with this Corpus Christi Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.

Two ATM’s, both outside of banking institutions were broken into during the early morning hours of March 18, 2020 between 3:15-4:30 am. One ATM was located on the 6800 block of Saratoga and the other was located on the 5300 block of S Staples.

Two male suspects drove up to the respective ATM’s and forcefully pried them open. The suspects were able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The vehicles used have been located but Detectives are looking for information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.

The Investigators were able to obtain a copy of surveillance video which shows the burglary of one of the ATM’s.

OFFENDER OF THE WEEK

Nueces County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help to locate 25-year-old Jordan Hernandez who has an outstanding warrant out of Nueces County for Money Laundering – No Bond.

Hernandez is described as a 25-year-old male who stands 5’04”, weighs approximately 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING

On Saturday, March 14, 2020 officers conducted a traffic stop at the 4700 block of South Padre Island Drive.

During this incident, the offender struck a vehicle, backed up and struck a marked police vehicle and drove in the direction of one of the officers who then discharged his firearm. The offender then struck a third vehicle as he fled the scene.

On duty officers quickly located the vehicle in the 5900 block of Weber Road. At approximately 9:50 pm officers contacted the suspect who was found to be inside of an apartment with a gunshot wound. The male was provided medical attention on scene and later transported to a local hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition.

Upon his release from the hospital, the offender is expected to face several felony charges. Of the charges, he will face five counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly weapon for striking the two separate vehicles which were occupied by both adults and children.

One Corpus Christi Police Officer has been placed on paid administrative leave at this time in accordance with current department practice and policy.

Officer Dee Munsell has been a police officer with the Corpus Christi Police Department for 4 years. Officer Munsell is the sole officer who discharged his service weapon.

68A Inspections cancelled for March 18, 2020

Out of an abundance of caution regarding the health of our community, we do not want to unduly expose any citizen unnecessarily to any health risk.

As a result, we have made the decision to cancel our 68-A Inspection that was scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Future scheduled inspections in April will be re-evaluated as that date nears and an announcement will be made concerning them.

OFFENDER OF THE WEEK

Nueces County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help to locate 29-year-old Bradley Mac Ozee, who has an outstanding warrant out of Nueces County for Motion to Revoke – Aggravated Kidnapping (No Bond). Ozee also goes by the name Bradley Sampley.

Ozee is described as a 29-year-old male who stands 6’02”, weighs approximately 150 pounds, with green eyes. Ozee has facial tattoos under his eyes and a neck tattoo as seen in the attached picture.

Location: Ayers and Baldwin
Offense: Hit and Run
Case Number: 2003110148

The Corpus Christi Police Hit and Run investigators need your help identifying the driver that left the scene of an accident. Officers responded to the intersection of Avers and Baldwin. Officers arrived as medics were working on the driver of a motorcycle. The investigation revealed and was confirmed by video, that the motorcycle was traveling west bound on Baldwin and had a green light. The suspect vehicle was traveling east bound on Baldwin and turned in front of the motorcyclist, causing the accident. The vehicle, described as a blue and silver Chrysler, traveled north bound on Ayers and fled the scene. The motorcyclist suffered non-life threatening injuries.

 

 

The suspect vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. It also appears that the front right tire might be a spare. SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH ARMED ROBBERIES

Date: Wednesday, March 11, 2020
Location: 4400 block of Ayers
Offense: Warrant of Arrest

At approximately 1:22 pm on March 11, 2020 members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task force which consists of members of the Corpus Christi Police Department, with assistance from the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office; effected two arrests for outstanding felony warrants.

Officers received information that the first offender was at a fast food restaurant located on the 4400 block of Ayers. Officers located 19-year-old Jasmine Gonzales and she was taken into custody, without incident. Gonzales had three outstanding warrants for Aggravated Robbery, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Appear (Total bond amount of $310,000).

Officers also located 20-year-old Christian Rogers, who had an outstanding warrant for Motion to Revoke (No Bond). Rogers was additionally charged with Failure to ID – Fugitive from Justice and Possession of Controlled Substance – Penalty Group 2A.

Gonzales and Rogers were both transported to the Nueces County Jail for processing.

Person of Interest in McArdle Road Homicide

Location: 2600 Block of McArdle Road.
Offense: Murder

Investigators are looking to speak to a person of interest in the city’s most recent homicide which occurred on 2600 McArdle Road.  Detectives need to speak to Paul Rowland. He is approximately 5’7″, 250 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

ARREST IN BRETT HOMICIDE

Location: McAllen, Texas
Offense: Warrant of Arrest
Case Number: 2003040093

On Friday, March 06, 2020 members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task force, with assistance from Corpus Christi Police Department, McAllen Police Department, Texas DPS Troopers and McAllen Task Force arrested a local man for an outstanding warrant in connection with a recent Homicide which occurred on March 4, 2020 on the 4100 block of Brett.

Officers developed information that the offender, 19-year-old Detavion Falkquay, was staying at a residence located on the 1000 block of Pecan in McAllen, Texas. Officers located Falkquay and he was taken into custody, without incident.

Falkquay was booked on one warrant for Murder ($150,000 Bond). Falkquay was booked into the Hildalgo County Jail for processing and is currently awaiting extradition back to Nueces County.
