**UPDATE** MR. PENA HAS BEEN LOCATED. HE IS SAFE AND WITH FAMILY.
Corpus Christi Police would like help from the public to locate a missing elderly person. Nicholas Pena was reported missing on October 31, 2019. Mr. Pena suffers from Dementia and other medical conditions that require medical assistance.
Mr. Pena was last seen in the area of 4300 Holly Ridge Drive around 6:00 pm this evening when he left in a tan 2014 Chevy Cruze (LP DV50926). Mr. Pena is described as an 93-year-old male, who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, approximately 175 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. Mr. Pena was last seen wearing a plaid long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a grey Jacket.

In a recent news story, it was reported that five people are currently missing from the Corpus Christi area.
Due to citizens concern and in effort to clarify, the Corpus Christi Police Department wants to assure our community that these missing person cases are not related to one another. Two of the missing persons listed are not missing from the Corpus Christi jurisdiction.
A detective from the Criminal Investigation Division is assigned to each case and are actively following leads and communicating with the families. Missing person investigations such as these are not uncommon with the Corpus Christi Police Department.

Investigators are seeking help from the public to discover any new information that will help catch a murder suspect.
On September 09, 2019 at approximately 3:32 AM officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Sherman for a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with 36-year-old Jason Herrera, who has sustained life-threatening injuries. Jason Herrera was transported to Christus Spohn Shoreline where he later succumb from his injuries.

Jessica is described as a 22-year-old female who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes.

On September 16, 2019, officers responded to an aggravated robbery at a local convenience store located on 3000 Port Avenue. The clerk reported that a white male wearing blue jeans, no shirt and a red hat had just robbed her at gunpoint then departed on a bicycle. The first officers on scene gave a description of the suspect and direction of travel.
Senior Officer Santos Garcia and Officer Victoria Fabie responded to the area of the robbery to assist officers in locating the suspect. Upon entering the area, they observed a male matching the description riding a bike in the area of Chula Vista and Greenwood. The suspect made eye contact with the officers and fled across the street, where he hit the curb and lost control of his bicycle.
Officers immediately exited their police unit, as the suspect raised his hands to surrender. He complied with the officers’ commands and was taken into custody without further incident. After being apprehended the officers located money, cigarettes and a lighter which were stolen from the store. The suspect additionally was in possession of a stolen black Luger pistol.
Senior Officer Santos Garcia and Officer Victoria Fabie are recognized for their keen observations and diligent investigation resulting in a felony arrest and the recovery of a stolen handgun, cash and other contraband.

**Ruben Galvan has been located and he has been reunited with his family.**

Ruben Galvan was reported missing by his family on September 22, 2019. Ruben is known to frequent the downtown area and may be in need of medical assistance.
Ruben is described as a 48-year-old male who stands 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs approximately 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

On October 14th Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Corpus Christi Police Department were investigating two burglary cases in which items were stolen. As the detectives investigated, they found that several of the items were being sold online.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division and the Organized Crime Unit of the Corpus Christi Police Department were able to set up a meeting with the offender so that the stolen items could be recovered.
At the designated meeting two offenders arrived with the stolen items. As the undercover detective was speaking to one offender, he noticed a handgun on the passenger floorboard. Uniformed Officers and Detectives then moved in and placed both offenders into custody. The officers were able to secure the stolen items which included a stolen rifle.
After apprehension one offender complained of an injury that had occurred days prior and he was transported to the hospital before being arrested. The second offender was arrested and transported to the City Detention Center for booking. The offenders were charged with Theft and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm.
As the detectives continued to investigate, they developed information that additional stolen items could be located at an address on Curtis Clark. The officers went to that location and were able to secure those items.
27-year-old Trinidad Gomez was arrested on two counts of Theft.
26-year-old Dylan Cantu was arrested on two counts of Theft, unlawful carrying of a weapon and an outstanding warrant for Driving While Intoxicated.
