Man Stabbed At Inn On Leopard Street

                A 34 year old man was stabbed Saturday night at the executive inn on Leopard Street and police continue to search for suspects in the case.

Witnesses told Corpus Christi Police that a fight happened in the next room at about 10:20pm. A 34 year old man was then discovered with a stab wound to his neck. Ambulance crews immediately loaded the 34 year old man into the ambulance and rushed him to the hospital. The 34 year old man underwent a successful surgery, but remained in critical condition.

Corpus Christi Police believe the fight was gang related and are searching for the suspects in this event. The suspects may have been in a maroon Cadillac with a gold color license plate frame.

Police Investigate Fatal Crash On Harbor Bridge Saturday Morning

A 31-year-old man died in a single vehicle crash at 2:06am Saturday morning on the north side of the Harbor Bridge.

The 31-year-old man rode his black 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle north over the Harbor Bridge. The road curves and inclines at the base of the bridge and was dry at the time of the crash. The motorcycle left the roadway just north of the Burleson exit and struck a sign and a street light pole.

The 31-year-old man died at the scene. Corpus Christi Traffic Crash Investigators continue to investigate the cause of the crash and have not yet provided any conclusions.

Ambulance Takes Man To Hospital After Fight On 4200 Block Of Cambridge

A 52-year-old man was taken to the hospital by ambulance with serious head trauma after he started a fight with a 25-year-old man near the area of Cambridge Drive and Horne Road.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a fight in the street in which they found a 52-year-old man laid face up in the road unresponsive with a head injury. The 52-year-old man was immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Investigators believe the man’s head struck the pavement which caused significant trauma.

Corpus Christi Police detained a 25-year-old man identified as the person responsible for causing the head injury to the 52-year-old man. Detectives and Forensics Lab Technicians responded to the scene to interview witnesses and collect evidence.

Witnesses pointed to the 52-year-old man as the aggressor in this event and that alcohol consumption may have contributed to the aggression.

No arrests were made and the detectives continue to investigate the event to determine appropriate criminal charges.

Knife Wielding Masked Man Robs Store, Clerk Uninjured

Officers were dispatched to the Stripes Convenience Store and contacted the store clerk who reported she was robbed. The clerk told Officers she was mopping the floor when a man walked into the store “brandishing” a knife and demanding the money from the cash register.

The 57-year-old clerk was trying to comply with his demands, but the man kept swinging the knife at her. Fearing for her safety, the clerk grabbd a wet floor sign and swung it at the suspect. The suspect was able to knock the sign away and take an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’4″ to 5’6″ feet tall, and weighing 160-180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a white shirt with thin blue stripes, and checkered shorts.

Police Arrest Man For Murder

A 23-year-old man was arrested at his home on Sun Ray Friday evening for a murder that happened at South Bay Park in Corpus Christi.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a shooting call at 1013 Harbor Lights which is the address for South Bay Park. Police Officers discovered a man in his early 20’s laid in the road and had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Corpus Christi Fire Department Emergency Medical Services provided care to the man in the road, but the man did not survive the injuries.

Corpus Christi Police Homicide Investigators arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation. Based on witnesses to the event and evidence at the scene, the investigators specifically identified a suspect.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 23-year-old Trinity Kane Ringlestein (10/15/1988) on Friday night for murder.

Corpus Christi Police continue to investigate this event and encourages anyone that knows details about this crime to call police to make the information available for detectives.

Two Men Ejected From Club Return To Destroy Vehicles

Corpus Christi Police are seeking two men that broke several car windows and shot several cars with a firearm after they were kicked out of a local nightclub.

Several men attempted to sell jewelry in the parking lot of the business when a fight happened. The employees of the business told the men to leave and not return. Two of the men returned, one with a crow bar, and the other with a pistol.

The man with the crowbar broke the windows to three cars in the parking lot. The man with the pistol shot the same cars with the broken windows.

A woman exited the business and the man with the pistol pointed the firearm in her direction. The woman went back into the building and was not harmed.

The man with the pistol was described as a Hispanic male, 5 ft. 10 in., about 180 pounds, in his 20’s in age that wore a blue and white striped polo shirt, shorts and white tennis shoes. The man with the pistol also has a red lip tattoo on his neck.

The man with the crowbar was described as a Hispanic male also in his twenties in age, 5 ft. 8 in., 180 pounds, and wore a black shirt, white shorts, and white shoes.

The two men got into a gold car to leave the area. No injuries were reported and the property damage is estimated to be $3,000.

Simple Traffic Stop Erupts To Felony Arrest

A 30-year-old man was arrested Saturday night for evading arrest and for destruction of evidence and a variety of other charges after a Corpus Christi Police Officer initiated a traffic stop at Everhart and Saratoga for an inoperable license plate light.

The Patrol officer noticed a black Ford F-150 travel north on the 6400 block of Everhart at 11:20pm without an operable license plate light. The patrol officer activated the emergency lights on the patrol car and the truck traveled west on Saratoga Boulevard. The operator of the truck, Joe Hernandez (1/25/1982) refused to stop for the officer. Hernandez threw out a bag of a white substance at Saratoga and Senators. Other police officers recovered the bag and discovered the contents were illegal narcotics.

Hernandez stopped the truck at the corner of Weber and Saratoga, a mile after the officer originally initiated the traffic stop, and Hernandez was arrested for evading arrest or detention in a vehicle, a 3rd degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. Officers discovered narcotics inside the vehicle and Hernandez was charged with possession of a controlled substance (a state jail felony) and for tampering with evidence (a Class A misdemeanor).

Officers discovered Hernandez had two warrants for his arrest from Nueces County for Criminal Mischief. The truck was impounded and Hernandez was delivered to the City Detention Center.

Police Seek Push-out Thieves

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Investigators ask for help from the public to identify and locate two individuals that are responsible for several thefts from local Wal-Mart stores.

Corpus Christi Police were called to investigate a man and a woman who stole $735 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart on Saratoga Boulevard. The man and woman loaded a cart with merchandise, and then walked out of the store without paying for the merchandise.

The Wal-Mart loss prevention employees told police this is not the first time this couple has conducted this theft from the same store. The Wal-Mart employees provided several images from the security camera system to police to aid the investigation.

The man is described as approximately 5 ft. 9in. tall, 180 pounds, brown short hair, brown eyes, with large ears and is between middle 20’s to early 30’s years of age.

The woman is described as approximately 5 ft. 2 in. tall, 150 pounds, brown hair with highlights, brown eyes and had hickeys on her neck. The woman is estimated to be in her middle 20’s in age.

The couple used a maroon 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe that displayed license plate BG71655.

DWI Driver Arrested in “Bumper Car” Accident

Officers were at the Stripes Convenience Store located at Staples and Williams when they were witnesses to an unusual accident. Officers observed a red 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier strike a black 2006 Buick Le Sabre from behind. The driver of the Cavalier then backed up and hit a black 2010 Dodge Charger.

The driver of the Cavalier continued to drive forward and backwards, striking both vehicles a couple of more times. The Officers detained the driver, Kaitlin Marie Gomez (12/13/90) who appeared to be intoxicated. She was administered Standard Field Sobriety Tests and a Blood Draw.

Gomez was medically cleared and arrested. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The occupants of the Buick Le Sabre were not injured, but the driver and passenger of the Dodge Charger were transported to Spohn Shoreline with minor injuries.
