Corpus Christi Police Athletic League Season Opening Ceremony This Saturday

The Corpus Christi Police Athletic League will host a 2012 baseball season opening ceremony Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 10:00am at the PAL Center. This is a public event that everyone is invited to attend. The PAL Center is located at 1802 Buford and is sponsored and operated by the Corpus Christi Police Department.

The ceremony for the 2012 season will feature a presentation of the colors, the National Anthem, an opening prayer, and a presentation of the teams. Anyone interested to participate in the season are encouraged to visit the Police Athletic League website: www.ccpal.org or come by the office at 1802 Buford to fill out a registration form.

CC-PAL is an independent, non-profit corporation that offers young people a viable alternative to the temptations of the street. CC-PAL provides the ideal environment to keep boys and girls active, enthusiastic and busy through a wide array of supervised recreational and educational programs designed to cultivate self-esteem, leadership, and character.

The PAL program is open to all young people in Corpus Christi and the activities are supervised by police officers and other volunteers. PAL is supported by contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations.

The PAL are excited to announce that they now have 2 more baseball fields located at Agnes/Baldwin for total of 7 fields to play Baseball and/or Softball. The league is growing and getting stronger so if you want your child to participate give them a call at (361) 883-2725.
