Crime Stoppers Tip Helps Identify Wal-Mart Robber

Corpus Christi Police Department Homicide/Robbery Detectives following up on Crime Stoppers tips have positively identified the a 20-year-old Corpus Christi woman responsible for an aggravated robbery at the Wal-Mart located at 1821 S. Padre Island Drive. Detective L. Garza obtained a warrant for Miranda Nicole Cisneros (06/13/91) who was charged with three counts of Aggravated Robbery, one count of Child Endangerment, and one felony count of Criminal Mischief.  Her bond was set at $450,000.

On Saturday afternoon, Cisneros was apprehended by Wal-Mart’s store loss prevention officers as she shoplifted baby clothes and other household items.  A pregnant Cisneros seen carrying her young daughter escaped their custody.  She was able to enter her vehicle and attempted to drive away, but store employees caught up to her.  As Wal-Mart loss prevention officers tried to persuade her to return to the store, she reversed out of her parking spot, knocking down and dragging several employees.  Cisneros’ escape was unintentionally blocked by another car traveling in the opposite direction, but she managed to wedge her vehicle between it and a parked vehicle making good her escape.

A total of 6 people were injured with two of them being taken by ambulance to Spohn Memorial.  The most serious injury was a fractured pelvis.  Homicide/Robbery Detective L.
