Local Pharmacy Burglarized

Occurred on  6/7/12, 01:27 am  Burglary of a Business 11133 Leopard   1206070013 

Officers responded to the Walgreens in Annaville for an alarm call which advised Officers there were two suspects involved, one suspect in the store and a lookout standing outside the pharmacy.   Officers rushed to the Walgreens, arriving within minutes, but the suspects were already gone.  The suspects shattered the drive-thru window with an ax and gained entry into the pharmacy area of the store. Video surveillance shows two suspects with dark clothing being choosy in the pills taken.  It is believed over 1,700 pills of Hydrocodone was taken in the burglary.

During a recent Corpus Christi Against Loss meeting, loss prevention officers and local business owners were informed of the Walgreens pharmaceutical burglaries throughout the state.   Officers had also received an alert of the pharmacy burglaries and were being watchful of local pharmaceutical businesses on their beats.  It is unknown at this time if there is any connection to the other Walgreens burglaries.
