Crime Stoppers Releases Video of Robbery

Detectives have released video of a robbery which happened on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 2833 South Padre Island Drive in an effort to apprehend the suspects.

A 37-year-old woman told Police that she arrived at her place of employment and was attacked by a man who grabbed a bank bag from the 37-year-old woman. The 37-year-old woman told Officers she picked up money from a bank for her business and when she arrived at the business, she was attacked and the money was stolen.

The video of the attack is as shown in the upper left corner of this video when a white car pulls near the victim, a man gets out of the back seat, runs to the victim, grabs the money bag, then punches the victim several times before taking the bag and getting back into the back seat of the getaway car. the woman only recieved minor injuries.

Corpus Christi Police Robbery & Homicide Detectives have noticed this type of attack four previous times and believe this method of robbery has happened in Corpus Christi four previous times to this event since last February. The events identified by Detectives are February 13, March 6, March 13, March 27, and April 3. The common factors are that the victims have been female, wearing some clothing that identified themselves as an employee of a business, went to their business from a bank with a bank bag, and were attacked by multiple suspects. The Detectives would like everyone to be on watch for anyone seated in a car watching the front of a bank and call Police to report anything unusual.
