Patrol Report 06/17/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 878 calls for service and generated 207 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. June 16 to 7:00 a.m. on June 17, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.


“BRAVO” District

Location: 900 Redmond Street
Offense: Aggravated Robbery
P.C. 29.03       First Degree Felony
Case Number: 1506160136
A 53 year old male victim called Corpus Christi Police after he was robbed at knife point inside his home located in the 900 block of Redmond Street.

The victim told Officers that two men, he did not know, one black and one white, knocked on the front door of his mobile home asking for a former roommate that no longer lived there.

The victim said the two males walked in and checked the old room of the former roommate to see for themselves. The white suspect then pulled out a silver pocket knife and demanded money from the victim. When the victim told them that he didn’t have any money,

The males then broke down a door to another roommate’s room and ransacked it. Both men then went into the victim’s room and stole some change and ransacked his bedroom also. While the males were distracted, the victim was able to run out of the trailer and to a neighbor’s house to call the police.

He last saw both suspects running through his backyard and jumping a fence. The white male suspect was last seen wearing a white striped shirt and floral shorts. He had brown hair and was older than the black male suspect. The black male was between 25 and 40 years of age and had a rag on his head.

At this time no suspects have been arrested, and police continue to investigate this crime.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a drive by shooting at a home located at 4233 Shaw Street.

When Officers arrived they found that the home had been hit by three shots fired from a passing vehicle.  Five shell casings were found in front of the home in the street.

The shots that hit a front bedroom of the home passed within inches of two girls, ages 7 and 3, who were asleep in a bed. Inside the home Officers found three bullet holes inside the bedroom just inches taller than the height of the mattress. Two of those bullets continued through the hallway, and one went past the hallway into a wall in the kitchen.

In all there were six family members asleep inside the home at the time of the shooting. They ranged in age from 81 to 3 years old.

At this time no suspects have been arrested or identified. Officers believe that a black Chevrolet Truck may have used by the suspects in this crime.

A 40 year old male victim called Corpus Christi Police after his common law wife stabbed him in the arm at their apartment located in the 700 block of King Street.

The victim told officers that during an argument with his common law wife, she picked up a knife and swung it at him.  The man put his right arm up to defend himself and he was cut on his hand causing a severe laceration.

The male did not want the female taken to jail.

The female suspect was found in a back apartment on the same property.  She still had the knife in her possession.

The female suspect, Yvonne Sierra (12/16/1980), was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

The male was transported by CCFD EMS to Spohn Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

A Corpus Christi Police Office on patrol observed a female reclined in a vehicle appearing to be hiding from officers in the parking lot of a hotel located at 5142 Oakhurst Drive.

When the Officers checked on the vehicle she was in, it was determined that the 2014 Dodge sedan was stolen from the driveway of a home located in the 900 block of Linda Vista Drive on June 13.

Officers arrested the female, Vanessa Irwin (09/15/1985) for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance when cocaine and heroin were found in the vehicle.

A 25 year old male victim was robbed by two females at his home in the 2600 block of Segrest Street.

The victim told officers that he was in bed sleeping when he heard a loud banging at the back door of his home. When he went to investigate he found two women had kicked in the back door and were standing inside the house. One of the females pointed a handgun at him and demanded money. The victim gave them his wallet which contained a large amount of cash and they both fled out the back door.

The female that was armed with the gun was described as being short and stocky with short black hair. The other female had long black hair. Both appeared to be in their late twenties. The victim could not provide a clothing description of either female.

At this time no suspects have been identified, and officers continue to investigate this crime.
