Patrol Report 07/15/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 1016 calls for service and generated 211 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. July 14 to 7:00 a.m. on July 15, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“ADAM” District

Location: 1060 Leopard Street
Offense: Burglary
P.C. 30.02       State Jail Felony
Case Number: 1507150021
Employees of a restaurant located at 10669 Leopard Street called Corpus Christi Police after they arrived at work to find the front glass window of the business broken out.

Once the window was broken, the suspect went into the business and removed money from the cash register.

At this time no suspects have been identified, and Officers continue to investigate this crime. 

 

 

“BRAVO” District

Offense: Aggravated Assault

Corpus Christi Police were called to a disturbance between a male and a female at a home located in the 1200 block of Woodlawn Drive.

When Officers arrived, they found a party going on with several people outside.  Upon investigation it was determined that several people witnessed a verbal disturbance between a 24 year old male and his girlfriend.

They told Officers that the female got into the driver seat of her 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, and when the male walked in front of her, she intentionally hit him with the car.

The victim was pushed onto the hood of the vehicle and broke the windshield.  The victim only suffered a few cuts from the broken glass and he refused medical treatment.

The female, Rosalie Lopez (05/22/1991), was arrested from aggravated assault.

A store employee called Corpus Christi Police after she witnessed a man walk into the JC Penny Store, located at La Palmera Mall, and steal two bottles of men’s cologne.

The employee told Officers that she saw the suspect, Nathan Brooks (07/29/1991), put a bottle of “1 Million” cologne and a bottle of “Acqua Di Gio” cologne into another stores shopping bag.  The suspect then attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise that was valued at over $160.

The suspect was arrested for theft.

 
“DELTA” District

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a car that had previously been reported stolen traveling in the 800 block of North Port Avenue.

The Officer was able to stop the 2007 Dodge Caliber sedan, and arrest the female driver, Shanika Perkins (06/25/1990), for unauthorized use of motor vehicle.

The vehicle had been reported stolen on July 8th from 4224 Ocean Drive.  On that date, a 78 year old male reported to police that he was unloading items into his apartment when someone jumped into his car that he left running and drove away.
