The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 978 calls for service and generated 244 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. July 27 to 7:00 a.m. on July 28, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Corpus Christi Police responded to Labonte Park after a truck drove into the Nueces River.

Officers arrived and found a 2010 Ford F150 truck in the water, front end first. The driver was out of the truck and was not injured.

The crash investigation revealed that the driver of the truck was traveling along the access road leading to the boat ramp. Before driving into the water, the truck struck the guard rail, a wooden post, and a barricade set up to prevent vehicles from driving into the water.

After an investigation, it was determined that the driver, Gerardo Zamora (05/29/1991), was intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and his truck was pulled out of the river and impounded.

A man walked into the Corpus Christi Police Department and turned himself in for an armed robbery that occurred at a grocery store located at 2006 Musset Street on July 23.

The parents of the man told Officers that they saw media reports about a robbery at the Las Palmas Grocery Store and recognized the suspect in camera images as their son.

The man, De’Anthony Williams (07/04/1994), came with them to the police department and turned himself in without incident.  He was arrested for aggravated robbery.

Corpus Christi Police responded to the intersection of Doddridge and South Staple Street for a crash involving four vehicles.

When Officers arrived the crash investigation revealed that a female was driving her 2004 Pontiac Grand Am south on South Staple Street when she struck a 2013 Ford Escape that was stopped at a red light from behind.

The female driver in the Pontiac then attempted to back up and struck a 2011 Honda Civic that was directly behind her. The female driver in the Pontiac then continued to reverse and struck a 2004 Dodge truck that was in the turn lane at the red light.

None of the drivers, nor any of their passengers, were injured as a results of this crash.

After an investigation, Officers determined that the female driver of the Pontiac, Dawn-Ann Reed (07/13/1956), was intoxicated. She was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
