A 34 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after her boyfriend attempted to stab her with a knife inside their apartment located in the 600 block of Scotland Drive.
Officers arrived and were told that the male had left to go to the grocery store, and when he returned, he began accusing his girlfriend of sleeping with another man. He then made a verbal threat to cut her throat and grabbed a knife.
The female was able to push the knife out of his hands, but he then picked up his car keys and struck her once on the left side of the face. The male struck her again with his fist before leaving.
While Officers were there investigating, the male returned to find out what was going on.
Officers arrested the boyfriend, Jason Guerrero (02/24/1983), for aggravated assault, a first degree felony.
The female refused medical attention.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a car run a red light, in the 3200 block of South Port Avenue, and stopped the vehicle.
When the Officer contacted the driver of the 2009 Toyota Avalon sedan he gave her his driver’s license and proof of liability insurance on his vehicle.
While the Officer was talking with the driver, she determined that the driver may be intoxicated and asked him to step out of the car. He acted as if he was exiting and then drove off.
The Officer did not pursue the vehicle because she had his identification in her possession. Officers were sent to the address of the man, in the 1400 block of Corban Drive, and when they arrived they found the vehicle with a flat right front tire parked in front of the apartment.
While Officers were impounding the car, the driver, Cristobal Gomez (06/24/1982), walked up and he was arrested.
He was charged with evading arrest in a vehicle, a felony, driving with a suspended license and driving while intoxicated, both Class B misdemeanors.

A 21 year old man was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital after he was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a convenience store located at 4754 South Padre Island Drive.
Officers arrived and were able to view the store parking lot video that showed a male and a female were parked in front of the store and were attempting to back a black four door car out of a parking space.
As the male driver was backing, a Cadillac Escalade entered into the parking lot and was nearly hit by the backing car. Two men in the Escalade jumped out to confront the driver of the passenger car.
The car again backs up, this time striking one of the men The passenger car then exits the parking lot.
The 21 year old man suffered minor injuries to his leg, the other man was not injured. Officers did not find the driver, or the female passenger in the car that was backing up and struck the man. If the driver is located, he could face charges for failure to remain at the scene of a crash.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives and Agents from the United States Marshall Service arrested a female, late yesterday afternoon, in connection with a bank robbery at the Capital One Bank that occurred on August 18.
Detectives were able to identify and obtain an arrest warrant for aggravate robbery on the female suspect. The female, Joyce Jenkins (10/22/66), was then located at a home in Dilley, Texas. At the time of her arrest she was attempting to hide under some clothes in a closet. Officers were able to take her into custody without incident.
She will see a magistrate in Frio County, Texas before being returned to Corpus Christi. The bond amount is set at $70,000.
