A Corpus Christi Police Officer responding to the report of street racing occurring at the Barge Dock, in the 1600 block of Shoreline Boulevard, arrested a man for reckless driving.
The Officer was observing the area from a distance when he saw a 2003 Chrysler PT cruiser in the dock area began to rev up its engine and then saw him take off at a high rate of speed spinning its tires. The driver had no regard for people fishing on the dock, or the pedestrians walking in the area.
The driver, Christian Arriola (03/30/1998), was arrested for reckless driving and his car was impounded.

The Corpus Christi Police Narcotics and Vice Investigation Division officers observed a man they knew was wanted making a sale of illegal narcotics near Horne Road and the Crosstown Expressway.
Officers stopped the car, Robert Rodriguez (05/27/1983), was in after making the sale and he was taken into custody for the outstanding arrest warrant. The warrant was issued for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and a municipal court warrant for public intoxication. He was additionally charged with one count of manufacture and delivery of controlled substance for making the latest drug sale.
Officers also discovered that he had a loaded Smith and Wesson semiautomatic pistol and two magazines under the car seat he was in and he was also charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.

A female in a hotel on North Beach was arrested after Corpus Christi Police found evidence of a counterfeit operation in her room.
Officers were investigating a call by the hotel management regarding found narcotics in a room. When they went to contact the female who had rented the room, where the drugs were found, they located two females and another male inside.
One of the females, Julie Torres (02/17/1986), was found to have two outstanding warrants issued for her arrest. One was for theft, the other was a warrant for a motion to revoke probation.
After she was arrested for the outstanding warrants, Officers located a bag inside the room that contained social security cards, bank statements, and checks from different people.
Officers also confiscated a laptop, cameras, visa gift cards, several phones, and copiers from the room.
The female was arrested and charged with fraud and possession of a controlled substance.
The other two individuals in the room were not arrested.

Corpus Christi Police were dispatched to the area of 5000 Wingfoot Lane after someone called reporting two suspicious males walking around the neighborhood with backpacks.
Officers arrived and found two cars had been broken into. One was on Wingfoot Lane, the other was in the 5200 block of Merganser Street.
While investigating these two auto burglaries, Officers observed the two males carrying backpacks walking in the alley behind some homes.
When the two males saw the Officers, both took off running on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the two males, Christian Ramirez (10/14/1995) and Avery Ramirez (05/23/1993) were captured and both were arrested for burglary and evading on foot.
