A Corpus Christi Police were dispatched to a one car crash with a truck and a fire hydrant in front of Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

Officers arrived and found a 2012 GMC Sierra truck stuck in the mud with water running from under the truck. The truck appeared to of driven off the roadway and crashed into a fire hydrant and several irrigation lines to the parks sprinkler system

Officers contacted the driver, Taylor Gray (03/21/1990), and after an investigation they determined he was intoxicated.

After being treated at Spohn Shoreline Hospital, he was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Damage to the fire hydrant and park irrigation lines was estimated to be $4,000.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol arrested the driver of a vehicle after he witnessed him being reckless while operating his truck on North Shoreline Boulevard.

The Officer, who was up on Shoreline Boulevard, heard an engine revving down on the Barge Dock. He looked down and observed a 2004 Chevrolet truck race from a stopped position to a high rate of speed in a very short distance.   There were also 15 other vehicles and 20 other people on the Barge Dock at the time.

As the truck exited the barge dock and entered Shoreline Boulevard, the Officer was able to stop the truck and arrest the driver, David Castillo (10/20/1995) for reckless driving. His truck was impounded.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol found a man passed out behind the wheel of his truck at a traffic light in the 2200 block of Crosstown Access Road.

The Officer observed a 2015 Dodge Ram truck with its brake lights activated and the engine on. As the Officer walked up to the truck to investigate, he heard loud bass coming from the vehicle. He saw a man asleep in the driver`s seat and the vehicle was still in drive with the drivers foot on the brake pedal.

After several attempts of banging on the window of the truck, Officers were able to wake the driver.

After an investigation, the driver Marcos Solis (03/31/1990), was determined to be intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and his truck was impounded.
