The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 901 calls for service and generated 219 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. November 1 to 7:00 a.m. on November 2, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol found a car stopped in a lane of Interstate Highway 37 North over McKenzie Road.

When the Officer got out to investigate, he found the male driver passed out behind the wheel. The 2012 Ford Fiesta hatchback was in drive and the driver had his foot on the brake with the engine running.

After several attempts at banging on the window of the car, the Officer was able to get the driver to wake up and put the car in park.

After an investigation, it was determined that the driver, Jaime Villarreal (10/19/1961), was intoxicated.  He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and the charge was upgraded to a felony due to prior convictions.


DWI driver stopped on freeway

A 60 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after his home, located in the 700 block of North Omaha Drive, was struck by four bullets fired from a passing vehicle.

Officers arrived at the home and found a bullet hole on the north side of the residence near the bottom of the siding.  At the front of the residence there were three bullet holes. Officers searched the street and found five .9 millimeter shell casings.

At this time, Officers are still investigating this case and no suspects have been identified.

A man walking down Dolphin Street carrying a television set caused a suspicious female to call Corpus Christi Police to investigate.

The female witness told Officers she saw a man walk into the alleyway behind some homes, then come out carrying a television set. The female witness was able to get in her car and follow the suspect at a safe distance while calling police.

Officers arrived and found the man walking down the street with the Sanyo television.

After an investigation, Officers were able to determine that the item was stolen from a home in the 500 block of Williamson Place after the suspect made entry into the residence through an unsecured back door.

The man, Ray Longoria Jr. (12/15/1977), was arrested for burglary.
