The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 929 calls for service and generated 238 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. November 9 to 7:00 a.m. on November 10, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Two men armed with a handgun walked into the Stripes Store, located in the 2000 block of Gollihar Road, and demanded the clerk give them money from the cash register.

The clerk told Officers a black male wearing a grey beanie over his head and face, a grey long sleeve shirt and white work gloves, pointed a handgun at her, while a second black male suspect wearing a black ski mask, a black hoodie and pants with white work gloves was carrying a purple bag.

The suspects followed her behind the counter to the register and demanded money. Both suspects got scared off after they claimed the clerk was taking too long to open the register and they left without taking any cash.

Officers are working with management to retrieve the store video surveillance.

At this time, no suspects have been identified.

Corpus Christi Police recovered the stolen vehicle of an 81 year old man just after noon on Monday.

An Officer found the abandoned 2007 Hyundai SUV parked near the intersection of Craig and Third Streets. The vehicle had been reported stolen from a home that had been broken into in the 200 block of Atlantic Street on Monday.

No suspects were around the vehicle, and none of the victim’s stolen property was located.

Officers continue to investigate this case.

Original Blotter Post on Monday: An 81 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after he found someone had broken into his home and also stolen his car. Officers arrived at the home in the 400 block of Atlantic Street and were told by the man that he returned home and noticed that his back door had been left wide open. When he went inside he noticed his television and a tan handbag had been taken. Officers believe the suspects entered the home through a window on the side of the house. The man also told Officers that the suspect forced open a window to his garage and went inside. The suspect stole tools and the man’s 2007 Hyundai SUV that was parked in the garage. At this time no suspects have been identified, and the man’s stolen vehicle has not been located.
