A 75 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after his car was broken into and a gun was stolen.

The man told Officers he left his 2008 Ford Escape unlocked while it was parked in the driveway of his home located in the 800 block of Mariana Street.  A .38 caliber Rossi revolver and a check book was stolen from the front seat.

172 firearms have been stolen from vehicles in the city this year, only 38 of those have been recovered.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

A man who told Officers he was out celebrating a Dallas Cowboys victory was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he crashed his car in the 5800 block of Everhart Road.

When Officers arrived they determined that a 2007 Jeep Patriot had pulled out of a private parking lot along Everhart Road into the path of a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling north and driven by a 19 year old female. The female was taken to Bay Area Hospital by CCFD EMS with minor injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, David Jasso (03/26/1981), told Officers he was at a bar watching the football game and celebrating a rare Cowboys win.  Officers determined he was intoxicated and he was arrested.   He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.

A 28 year old female passenger in his Jeep was not injured.

A women was arrested by Corpus Christi Police after she walked into someone else’s home in the 10800 block of Grand Teton Drive.

A 35 year old man told Officers that he was inside his home when the front door opened and a female walked in.  She saw the man and turned around and walked out. The man did not recognize the person and called police.

By the time Officers arrived, the female had left the area.  While investigating the call Officers became aware of a suspicious female carrying fishing poles a few streets away. When they went to investigate they found the female, Jennifer Ann White (10/13/1993), on Julianna Street and arrested her.

The fishing poles were determined to have been stolen from the home on Grand Teton Drive and they were returned to the owner who hadn’t even noticed they were missing.
