The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 843 calls for service and generated 199 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. December 8 to 7:00 a.m. on December 9, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Offense: Aggravated Assault
P.C.  22.02     Second Degree Felony

Case Number: 1512090006
A 29 year old female called an acquaintance to come pick her up after she got into a fight with her boyfriend at their apartment located in the 5900 block of Leopard Street.

When the 42 year old male friend arrived to pick the female up, he saw her being chased by her boyfriend who had a baseball bat. The boyfriend then saw the friend and hit him with the bat several times.

The friend was able to get the bat away from the boyfriend but then the boyfriend produced a knife and stabbed the friend in the chest.  The friend then hit the boyfriend in his head with the bat he had.

Both men had to be taken to Spohn Memorial Hospital.  Neither one has life threatening injuries.

Officers intend to file aggravated assault charges against the 41 year old boyfriend when he is released from the hospital.

Offense: Wanted Person

Case Number: 1511130079
A suspect with two arrest warrants issued for him, related to the use of stolen credit cards taken from two separate burglaries in the Del Mar neighborhood, was located at his place of employment in the 900 block of Louisiana Parkway.

One of the arrest warrants issued for the suspect was for using a credit card taken during a residential burglary in the 1800 block of Ocean Drive.  The second warrant was issued after the man used a stolen credit card taken during an auto burglary in the 300 block of Atlantic Street.

Officers located the wanted person, Robert Louis Noriega (08/12/1983), and he was arrested for the two outstanding warrants that were issued on December 8 and each hold a $15,000 bond amount.

Location: 900 Eleanor Street
Offense: Found Grenade

Case Number: 1512080079
A 51 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after he found a grenade while cleaning a home in the 900 block of Eleanor Street.

Offices arrived and saw grenade in a metal file cabinet on the back porch of the home.  The man told Officers that residents from the home had been evicted and he was there cleaning when he found the explosive.

The Corpus Christi Police Bomb Squad arrived and they recovered and disposed of the grenade.
