Patrol Report 12/15/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 877 calls for service and generated 230 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. December 14 to 7:00 a.m. on December 15, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.


Date: 12/14/2015       11:25 PM
Location: 2600 Nimitz Street
Offense: Aggravated Assault
P.C.  22.02     Second Degree Felony

Case Number: 1512140170
A 27 year old female was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend in front of her home in the 2600 block of Nimitz Street.

Officers arrived and also found that two men who came to help the female had been stabbed.

A witness told Officers that he heard screaming outside his home and when he came out of his house he saw the female being assaulted by a Hispanic male. Two men, visiting a house down the street, then ran over to try and help the female and they were both stabbed.

The 21 year old man was stabbed in the chest, and his 32 year old friend was stabbed in the left arm and right hand. The female was not stabbed, but did have injuries to her face and head from the assault. All three victims were transported by CCFD EMS to Spohn Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The ex-boyfriend, who was identified by the female, left the scene on foot prior to police arrival and he was not located.

Officers did find his car parked on the street and it was impounded.

Location: 4200 Ayers Street
Offense: Aggravated Robbery

Case Number: 1512140155
A man who walked up to check out, at a business located at 4202 Ayers Street, pulled out a handgun on the cashier and robbed the store.

The store employee told Officers that she saw a black male in his early forties with short black hair wearing a blue jean like hat, walk up to the register to pay for shampoo and a comb.  When she went to check him out, he pulled out a gun and demanded money.

After the cashier gave him the cash he went into the parking lot and got into a silver Hyundai Santa FE SUV with paper license tags that was waiting for him.  A witness told Officers that she saw the man get in the vehicle, and it was being driven by a female.

Officers did not located the vehicle or the suspect and they continue to investigate this crime.

Location: 3300 Laguna Shores Road
Offense: Drowning

Case Number: 1512140116
Corpus Christi Police responded to a drowning in a canal behind a home in the 3300 block of Laguna Shores Road.

When Officers arrived a witness told them that he had seen his neighbor working on a wood deck along the canal earlier in the day.  He went inside his home for a while and when he came back outside, he saw his neighbor floating in the canal and he jumped in to rescue him.

The 76 year old man was transported by CCFD EMS to Bay Area Hospital were he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Location: 500 North Navigation Boulevard
Offense: Burglary
P.C.  30.04     Class A Misdemeanor

Case Number: 1512140028
Corpus Christi Police were called after a total of thirteen semi-trailers were broken into on two adjacent properties in the 500 block of North Navigation Boulevard.

Officers arrived and were told by the site foreman that it appears as though the suspects made their way into the property by cutting a fence that surrounds the yard.

Seven tractor trailers were found broken into on his property.  Officers were told that once the suspects were done breaking into those seven trailers, they went into a yard next door and broke into six more.

It is unknown how much property the suspects got away with.

Officers continue to investigate this case.
