Corpus Christi Police are investigating a wreck after a female drove off the roadway and crashed her truck into Oso Bay.
The crash investigation by Officers determined that the driver of a 2009 Chevrolet truck was traveling along South Padre Island Drive at the Oso Bay turnaround. The driver failed to control her speed and went over the curb, a concrete barrier, and ended up in the bay.
The driver, Tressa Vansickle (08/191990), was not injured.
After an investigation it was determined that she was intoxicated.
She was arrested for driving while intoxicated and her truck was impounded after it was fished out of the water.

A 23 year old man was stabbed after a disturbance behind the South Coast Shopping Center, located in the 1600 block of South Padre Island Drive.
The victim, who was driven by a friend to Fire Station #10 at Horne and Greenwood Road, was stabbed one time in the abdomen. Firefighters from the station treated the victim and then transported him to Spohn Memorial Hospital.
The victim would not provide Officers with any details regarding the stabbing, but the friend who drove him to the fire station said that they were both attacked by two men in the alley behind the shopping center. She said the suspects tried to rob her friend. She said a fight broke out when her friend refused to give up his property and he was stabbed.
Officers went back to the scene and were able to locate the suspect who stabbed the man. Jose Hernandez (11/23/1985) was arrested for aggravated robbery, and the knife he used in the attack was recovered.
The victim did not suffer any life threatening injuries.

Corpus Christi Police arrested a man after he was found shooting a gun in the driveway of his home, located in the 3200 block of Magnolia Street.
The man told Officers that he had just bought a new gun and was anxious to start shooting it, so he fired several rounds into the air while he was outside. Officers found eight, .40 caliber, shell casings along the driveway of the home.
Officers arrested the man, Randy Rojas (09/17/1965), for discharging a firearm, a Class A Misdemeanor.
