The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 755 calls for service and generated 194 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. February 28 to 7:00 a.m. on February 29, 2016. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Location: 2500 Niagara Street
Offense: Hit and Run

T.C.  550.021    Third Degree Felony

Corpus Christi Police are investigating who ran over a 34 year old man in the 2500 block of Niagara Street and then left the scene without stopping.

Officers arrived and found the man lying in the middle of the street.  He had several cuts and bruises to his head and face.  He was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS.

Witnesses told Officers that they saw a young female, who was screaming, get out of a beige Chevrolet Tahoe and walk over to the man.  They then saw her get back into her vehicle and drive off toward Baldwin Boulevard.

The victim did not suffer any life threatening injuries.

Officers are still looking for the driver that struck the pedestrian.

Offense: Criminal Mischief

Corpus Christi Police responded to a call about glass being broken at Woodlawn Elementary School, located at 1110 Woodlawn Drive, and found five windows to the school had been broken out.

Officers arrived and found that either a rock or brick was used to break out five of the windows along one wing of the school.

Each window was valued at $250.

At this time no suspects have been identified.

Location: 4700 Everhart Road
Offense: Driving While Intoxicated with a Child

A car speeding down the 4700 block of Everhart Road caught the attention of a Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol.

Once the Officer stopped the 2002 Saturn sedan, he found that the car was occupied by the driver and his two year old daughter.

While investigating this call, the Officer determined that the driver, Felix Deleon (05/15/1988), was intoxicated and he was arrested.

The driver was charged with driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, a felony offense.

The child was released to her mother.
