Patrol Report 03/01/2016

The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 939 calls for service and generated 250 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. February 29 to 7:00 a.m. on March 1, 2016. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Case Number: 1603010016
A 47 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after her husband opened a can of gasoline and started pouring it on their home in the 900 block of Shepard Drive.

Officers arrived at the home and could smell a very strong odor of gasoline outside of the house.  The female explained to Officers that she and her husband were having relationship problems and he grabbed a gas can containing fuel from the back of the home and walked to the front pouring gas on the outside of the house and threatening to burn it down.  The female also told Officers that her husband had a lighter in his pocket to ignite the gas.

Officers found the husband, Todd Headen (02/19/1969), in a back bedroom with gasoline on him.  He was arrested for making a terroristic  threat, a Class B Misdemeanor.

P.C.  22.01      Third Degree Felony

Case Number: 16003010024
A 26 year old female went to the hospital and her boyfriend went to jail after an assault at the home they share in the 1800 block of Van Loan Street.

Corpus Christi Police arrived at the home and were told by the female victim that she and her boyfriend had gone out to a club on the south side of the city earlier in the evening.

While there her boyfriend hit her several times knocking her to the ground.  He then forced her into his car and he drove them home.  Once at the house the assault continued and she was kicked, hit and choked by the man.

CCFD EMS transported the female to Spohn Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries not believed to be life threatening.

Officers located the boyfriend, Hector Pecero Jr. (05/22/1976), and he was arrested for felony assault.
