Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 13600 block of Northwest Blvd. in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Officers arrived and made contact with 43 year old male victim. The victim advised that he went to a bank and withdrew some cash. The victim left and went to a local convenient store. The victim went inside the store and made a purchase, left the store and got into his car. The victim stated that he forgot something and went back inside the store and this time he forgot to lock his door. When he came out of the store this time he noticed that the envelope with his money was gone. Video showed a red Kia Optima pull up to the victims vehicle, a suspect got inside the victims car, took the envelope and then drove away in the Kia. The suspect vehicle appears to be a rental car out of Houston. It is unknown, but suspected that the suspects followed the victim from the bank. Do not use ATM’s in unlit areas. Try to minimize flashing large amounts of cash. If you feel you are being followed get a description and call the police.
