On August 30, 2018, in an effort to target the growing opioid problem in our country and to make our community safer, 59 sworn law enforcement officers and support personnel from multiple agencies joined forces to arrest individuals who have been involved in either using or selling heroin in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Seventeen individuals who were wanted for a myriad of warrants were sought throughout the day. Of the seventeen, the following five were arrested:
- Melissa Guerra (09-14-1973)
- Ariel Aceves (03-11-1993)
- Cynthia Dobbs/Rangel (08-17-1963)
- Grady Malone (05-04-1960)
- Christopher Ortiz (08-04-1965)
In addition to the five individuals listed above, three other individuals who were not on the original list were arrested for warrants. Those three are:
- Johnathan Marines (7/23/1980)
- Brett Box (11/29/1967)
- Melody Lambry (1/7/1969)
Another individual not on the original list, Juan Herrera (12/27/1991), was contacted and arrested for warrants and possession of a stolen firearm.

- Texas Department of Public Safety
- Nueces County Sheriff’s Office
- Nueces County Community Supervision and Corrections
- Homeland Security Investigations
- United States Marshals Service
