At approximately 4:29 am on March 08, 2022 officers were dispatched to the area of the 4800 block of S Alameda for a shooting with injuries.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 28-year-old male who was found to have been shot and had serious injuries.  The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators spoke to several witnesses and were able to identify a suspect.

Investigators made contact with 29-year-old Robert Johnson, who communicated that he would come to the main police station to turn himself in.  At approximately 9:30 pm on March 08, 2022, Johnson arrived at the main station and was met by Homicide Detectives.    

After speaking with Investigators in our Criminal Investigations Division, Johnson was transported to the City Detention Center for processing at approximately 12:00 am on March 09, 2022 Johnson was booked in on a Murder charge.
